  1. If you check Fords web page and look under their mobility section you should find the advance payment for the 2.0 L TDCI Zetec is around the £400 mark. This in my opinion is the best engine of the lot and Zetec trim is not too bad an option. Dont know who quoted £1500 for lesser models but I think they are not telling you the whole truth!!!!!!!!!! Good luck.
  2. Yes, i also had a problem with the drivers seat. Dealer said that if you raise the seat hieght a little(if it is at the lowest point) it wont squeak. Also had the runners lubricated etc. under warranty. Now have no squeaks or any type of seat noise. It did take a change of dealer to be able to sort it out though. Dealer commented that it is a common fault on C-max.. Good luck
  3. Tesco motor insurance. The cheapest by far next to Elephant . co..
  4. My car went into dealers on Monday for warranty work. New roof lining, new dash box door, clock re-callibrated and squeeking front windows. Got car back today and window problem still not sorted. Wrong parts delivered so they are now on a back order. Whilst moaning to the service manager about the faults on the car I discovered that they had recorded the 3 x recall issues as being completed 18th Aug 04( 2 days before I took delivery ). When the reality is that I informed them of the need to do the work towards the end of Sept. 04 and the car went in to have the recalls addressed. All seems lik
  5. I am hoping someone can answer some questions for me before my car goes back in for the roof lining to be cleaned/replaced in a cople of weeks. What is the diesel callibration recall? Dealer unable to answer ?!!!! What is the fix for the irregular running 1750 - 2000 revs.(TDCI) ? My dealer is claiming to have no knowledge of this problem, but I certainly have had a few experiences of it. Can be scary trying to pull away from a junction and the car almost stopping!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting terrible mpg.. But boy does the car move. Too much of a lead foot I suppose. :D Thanx Ian
  6. RE: Brakes and rust. The problem I have is that the whole of the disc is covered in really bad rust. Not just the area used for braking but the whole lot. The area that stands out the most is the large circular part nearest to the alloys. Will have to see if the dealer can 'clean' them up when it goes in 9/9/04 to get every-thing else sorted out. Any-one any info on the recall issues?? Still interested to find out what these are. Thanks Ian
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. Any-one know anything about the 3 x recall issues? Is the diesel callibration to remedy the judder experienced at 1750-2000 revs. ? Spoke to the dealer again and have been told Ford will not replace the discs under warranty if the brakes work ok.. You will just have to put up with a terrible looking vehicle (my words not theirs ). I really cannot believe this as it looks so poor it really isnt a good advert for the vehicle at all. I may visit another dealer to get their opinion. Thanks again Ian
  8. I have just taken delivery of a 2.0 Tdci Zetec last Fri.. Was told by the dealer it would be a 2004 1/4 ie made after April 2004 ( or so I thought ). Got confirmation today that it was built Oct. 2003. I presume from the amount and severety of the rust on all the brake discs it has been standing in a field some where rotting away!!!!!!!!! There is also fawn coloured glue all around the head lining that looks terrible. Dealer is going to ask valeter to try to remove it. I dont think so some how!!!!!! New liner at great expense. So much for PDI's. Also found out today that there are 3 x re
