im going to be getting £600 ish soon and im wanting a set of 18"s with tyres . for that kind of money what can i get other than ford alloys . preferably some thing with a bit of a dish / lip on them :?:

yep you will need to but ford can do it :wink: dont know how much it costs tho if you get your wheels from ford get them to fit them and get them to recalibrate your speedo in the price for the wheels and fitment :wink:

i love the arm rest . my maw has a mk2 sport with the arm rest and its way better looking than the non arm rest consol and less comfortable in my opinion . all i need now is a leather steering wheel :roll: if you want a center console with out arm rest stick up a thread looking for a swap i cant remember the guys name but there was another mk2 lx owner looking in to retro fitting the same as me and im sure he would swap you :wink: or alternativly tezza sorted me out the new consol but it costs that way :lol:

Thanks for the warm welcome, and cheers for the link... i had a look in the fuse box where the relay goes and its not pre wired unfortunatly mate so it looks like its a no go im affraid :cry:

swaping the rear axel of a breaker would be the easyest option and relatively simple to do if you can get access to a 4 poster

i ment are these readily avalable at a local dealer ore are they like most accessories a oder now and wait 3 days for delivery

my ford dealer has never even seen one mate but they are around £800 from ms design

i got mine minust the exhaust bit and spoiler for £140 mate so id say you can easily get one for £200 mine was from ebay aswell :wink:

it will be back up as he doesnt want to split the kit if he gets no bidders all i wanted was the exhaust end cover so just check again it will be back up i recon :wink:

yes and screws at the ends i have a unfitted kit up the loft waiting to get spryed and fitted once i save up the £500 my local ford dealer wants to have them sprayed and fitted :roll:

are these a order rom for number or do these proper sill protecter usualy a stock item in the parts department as im defo going to get a set they look the muts :D

mine done this when fitting a new grille . i mangaed to un clip the lower engine cover and squeeze my hand up and reach the thick cable which runs from the lock on the grill to the locking mechinisum . i pushed the cable (very thick 1/2"-3/4" blck) very hard in towards the lock mechinisum at the slam pannel and i mean very hard and got a friend to turn the key . i coud feel the cable moving away from the slam panel so braced my self against a curb and pushed it with all my effort and got my friend to turn the key again this time i held it hard enough and it popped the bonnet . id say get your

the kit is glued/bonded to the origional bumper so removal might be tricky and it may remove the paint on the remaining front and rear bumpers

i got 2 years with my second hand mk2 from my dealer . pulling to the left check that the tyre pressures are the same , check they are the same tread pattern , and check the tread wear is the same :wink: highly unlikeyly but check the sizes all match diameter , tire wall height and width ect

what if any mk2 do they come on as standard ?

now they are well smart how much does it cost for the relevant bits ect ? wireing would be relativly simple if you were to tap into the interior light . but it seems all the optional extras have the witeing in place on the m2 foci its just tucked away . like the fog lamps :wink:

i have the lx model and never had any squeaks or rattles of any kind what so ever but you guys cars are faster and better equiped ........ did i mention my lowly lx never squeeks or rattles :D
