  1. just collected the cmax from allen at romford. it's only been there 3 hours. they replaced the remote bit of the fob/key. a warranty repair the front desk man said. despite me being told by the lady on the phone on friday when i booked it in. that it's not covered under warranty!! i must admit that i've always had very good service from allen & i've had a few new cars over the years on my dad’s ex-employee ticket. ttfn kev
  2. bob ahhhh. looking forward to my first h/lamp replacement not then! good deal on the car & lamps! i've always used those stick on yellow things when i took a car across. the worked fine. but for FFOC members info i always applied them at night cos you can hold them up & see what they are doing before you stick 'em down. good luck with the boot. cheers kev
  3. so one press the should open the boot? but different models have different fobs. i've got lock. probs too. under the "remote locking problem" topic on current page. i can lock/double lock remotely but have to use key to unlock anything. fortunately i have key access to my boot a 54 tdci ghia currentlt at the dealers. cheers kev
  4. do you have to do the same to open the doors other than the drivers? cos you can program the fob to do this. have a look in the manual.
  5. Obligatory integral component of a 99.
  6. i thought that may be the case bob LOL! but i couldn't resist it. how come you've got a set of lhd head lights? are they easy to swap in & out? cheers kev
  7. 99 sounds ok not sure about tea in the tank though!!!
  8. beam converters are here.............. http://www.roofbox.co.uk/beambend.html robert do you have to use your left hand when installng your "lh halogens"
  9. it seems that some do & some don't on the boot key hole front!! my 54 plate 2.0tdci ghia does have one. i had a company mondeo for a while & i thought it didn't have key access on the boot but it was horizontally mounted next to the hand release grip & n/plate light. so to use it you had to grovel on the ground to get to it. anyone had a look on a keyless boot cmax??? cheers
  10. i'm a geezer & epb stick for me too but my wife says it's never happened to her. so is it mostly the guys wih a sticky epb? cheers
  11. thanks for input guys. fyi it's a 2.0tdci ghia 18mts/10K, it locks ok with remote & happens in different locations. so tends to look like fob?? off to dealer, allens romford, tonite for no doubt arguments over warranty etc. lady on phone say £25 for reprogram but methinks something is kaput & a reprog. won't fix. will post results. cheers
  12. anyone had a remote unlocking problem? car locks ok but have to use key to unlock. new battey in reomote fob. cheers
  13. ps starting has never been a problem. just the remote key locking etc.
  14. thanks all for your input. yes i agree about the frequencies etc. but car remotes fall in a band that is licensed by the dti & therefore should be protected from other “licensed” interference. i was looking for anyone who has ideas or experience in this area. btw my company’s accord, which i sometimes bring home, was not affected parked next to non remote working at the time cmax last eve?????
  15. anybody know anything about possible interference from telecom networks causing problems with remote c/locking? from time to time my remote will simply not work when my cmax is on my drive. next door's fiesta is showing same problems at exactly the same time. typical trip is: manual unlock at home but when you get to tescos etc it's ok. when you get home an hour later it's back to manual. any ideas please? cheers
