  1. You can find its 5 speed version here for 31 euros incl. VAT http://www.european-parts.net/catalog/p ... cts_id=254 And this is the picture: But i think the best looking knob for a nonghia Cmax (which doesnt have wood effects) is this knob. you can find it (with many others) here. http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/kraw ... knobs.html
  2. Yes it does, my former knob was one of them. But this is supreme quality. Sides are genuine leather so the knob is soft and warm  You dont want to take your hand off the knob :D :D I fitted my former knob (the Zetec one with plastic sides and black lettering, of course   ) my wife's '06 fiesta comfort (studio in UK)..
  3. I am not the knob expert of this forum but i changed my Cmax' knob again :) I have bought fiesta ST 150 knob from www.fordpartsuk.com (they deliver worldwide) This guy sells the same knob for a reasonable price http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIESTA-ST-GEAR-KN ... dZViewItem
  4. Excuse me if this was discussed before  . I have found this product when i was surfing the net. http://www.dieselchiptuning.com/catalog ... cts_id=835 I think it is not the same power master box with that one in above sticky topic.. Is it reliable? Anybody using it? Is it as good as they say ?
  5. I'd give my 1.6 tdci ghia 8 out of 10 :) . I cut those 2 points for recurring rattles from sony or sunroof internal cover; whistles from door seals and air vents, uncured engine noise at 2500 rpm and occasional hesitation at 1750-2000 rpm. Handling, performance, consumption (yes, im pleased :D ) , space, versatility, boot space, service attitude, parts and maintenance prices, taxes .. all is okay for me..
  6. ain't it a Renault Espace (or Grand Espace) in the pictures ? Whats he doing there ? spying on galaxy or S-max ?
  7. Thank you guys ! Sunshine Kids Booster Foot Rest and Stuff'n'Scuff Car Seat Protector are good alternatives but they are not avaliable in Turkey. I will either buy that recaro footrest and try to apply it or i will just buy a simple seat covar 8)
  8. According to the childseat tests done by some german car magazine, concord lift evo was the best (and fairly cheap) in its segment then I bought one . My 4 y/o son sits in it. He's happy , but his feet are surely short to reach the floor. A minute later, he begins to search someplace to rest his feet. Closest alternative is the table. Then he puts his feet on the back part of the seat itself. I have a very dirty passenger seat :( ... Now i am looking for a footrest for him. Searched the internet. And yesss...Recaro has a device which is an adjustable footrest. Some websites say it can o
  9. just had a conversation with the service manager. He says calibration thing was done after replacement, but not after cleaning. I hope the problem will not recur again  ..
  10. Interesting  An attitude that we never see at FORD , i think  My home's and job's parking places are very dusty (due to the loads of new buildings). I normally replace air filter in 6 months period and its always dirty at the end of 6 months. Does changing air filter in 3 months help me to prevent MAF sensor?
  11. http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=76921 After correction of turbo oil pipe in above topic, my 1.6 tdci had a service. They said MAF sensor is dirty and they cleaned it . They said if this won't be the cure, they'll replace the sensor. 6 months later, max began to smoke dark again, went to the service again. Yep, MAF sensor was dirty again. They replaced MAF sensor (under warranty) . What could be the cause of MAF sensor problem ? Could it be low quality diesel fuel (well, i have been using BP ultimate diesel since 2005 feb) or could that oil condensated pipe be a factor ?
  12. Mine is a 2004 May built 1.6 tdci ghia . Great engine such a big car. A couple of minor things: - as Gwyn said a 1700 rpm flat spot occurs sometimes. - engine noise at 2500 rpm (pre 2005 models). Probably you wont have. The best parts of the car is engine, great stereo (better than new mondeo) and tidy and elegant interior appearance to me.
  13. http://www.ford.co.uk/ie/focuscmax/-/cm ... /-/-/3/28# Have a look at Cmax personalize webwage..That rear console and many other things are now optional accessories  but many of them for 2006MY.. I couldnt see the point how that knob or 19'' alloys will not fit my 2004 Cmax
  14. Yes they are different.. The one that i had posted before is a custom made one. They are very common on LCVs (connect, partner, caddy) here. They are cheap also, 20 pounds for each approximately. It is a 2 point rail, you should screw one and glue the other point. Not recommended for carrying heavy boxes.. Because there is a huge demand of roof rails here, national ford importer (and producer of lightweight commercial cars) OTOSAN has made such a project. All the Cmax accessory parts (quite ugly to me except the rails) in that picture that merruse posted are official FORD products. They
  15. At Jan 2005 , i replaced my stock H7 headlights with Philip Vision plus. The right one broke at November and left one at December. Now i installed OSRAM silverstar H7s. Both vision plus and silverstars are very good, IMO :) The car is 1.6 tdci ghia without xenons of course :( Someone was selling a pair of Cmax xenonheadlights for 320 euros in ebay.de at december. I thought to buy it , but not...
  16. sounds like an EGR valve problem. I think you need the EGR valve to be cleaned. The other possibility is MAF sensor. One friend had the same in his 1.6 tdci Cmax, a couple of months ago. When downshifting at an uphill climb , car turned into safe mode. EGR valve cleaned and the problem not reoccurred since then..
  17. but Cmax is apparently better than E-class and Scenic in that survey..That's enough for me to buy Cmax :)
  18. in another topic, they say that that TSB is for the cars without electronic parking brake..
  19. but there is no squealling when reversing is my situation still covered by that TSB (05/2005 )..
  20. I had posted another topic about rear wheels, yesterday. This morning service has made a check and they found rear brake pads worn off, changed them. But i still see my rear discs hotter than fronts. I called them. They say "In Cmax, brake pads are continuously in contact with the discs so its normal their being hot (this is the cause of early wear off). And because of the front discs are ventilated, and rears are not, it is quite normal rears being hotter" Ive checked another Cmax and its front disc is hotter than rear in contrast what they said to me. So could you please check your
  21. I dropped my wife to her job this morning. When i was leaving there, she stopped me and told that a loud sound comes from rear wheels . She described it as "rumble of a rolling barrel". Then i checked the discs. Both rear discs were extremely hot (Front discs were warmer). So i went to the nearest service. They called me back tomorrow for a detailed check (they were too busy). But they made a simple check. At neutral gear, with the EPB off, they pushed the car and car went a bit further. So, the situatin of "faulty EPB application" excluded. They said this rumbling noise and over heating of
  22. Months ago, one of the local Cmax owners in Turkey had complained the same. At high speed bumpy roads, EPB light and EPB sound has come on frequently . He did not think its a problem and drove like that. But i dont remember if he noticed rear brake disc temperature. We told him that the situation is not normal and he must go to the service. Unfortunately, he left our local FORD forum so i dont know if he went to the service or solved the problem..
