Evans Halshaw good sevice, Good god, what is the world coming to, they must have been having an off day................what would really be a miracle if it was the NORTHWICH branch you went to :shock:

went to the dealers today, and still nothing, i took it out with the main tech bloke and the bloody car behaved itself, Anyway he said that hed keep checking the ford tech line and that its updated every day with problems, and would ring if anything cropped up, but in the meantime see how it goes and if it does go worse etc etc bring it straight in, so to be fair he had done everything he could but as he couldnt actually witness the faults first hand its hard for him to do anything..............so at least they didnt say "go away...theres nothin wrong with the car" as i susoect a few ford deal

We have an EVANS HALSHAW FORD dealer in NORTHWICH, and the USED CAR SALES section is awful, heres a summary on what we experienced. They carry a small stock locally and have the group stocklist on the computer. Many of that list are ex fleet cars that they will have paid rock bottom prices for, give them a quick clean and slap a nice big FOR DIRECT sticker on them and also a HUGELY inflated price sticker, They also said we had to buy the car before they actually got it to the garage. so we actually couldnt see the car before we bought it, BASICALLY they act as middle men between you and FORD

To be fair they have been pretty fair, and the man who spoke to me had driven it, They do have their fair share of youthful technicians to put it mildly but the bloke who spoke to me seemed to know his stuff,so im willing to give them the benefit, Thanks for your advice on FORD TECH, ill suggest that tomorrow

dealer had the car today, and has found nothing wrong, at all. no rattles no misfiring, no hesitating no faults on diagnostic etc etc..............Typical isnt it :x

Thanks mate, ill keep that one in mind, when they take a look on thursday, theyve also got to solve a few rattles in the car too! whilst your on, what are the gaps like where your dash meets the door c ards, mine are terribly uneven the pass side is a nice fit, whilst i can run my thumb down the drivers side............... :roll:

We have had our 1.8 07 zetec climate fro over three months and after nearly 3k the engine is very hesitant lower down the rev range especially below 3000 rpm, it even sometimes misses. its almost as if its hitting a limiter or somthing, and then after 3000 rpm its away, and pulls like a train, Has anyone any suggestions or experience of this, its booked into FORDS for a looking at, BUT what i dont want them to say is "theres nothing wrong mate, the diagnostic test was fine" and have to keep going back with it, if you get my drift. From new the car had always idled a little rough so im hoping t

another quick question, in the glove box pics, does that white bit come with the FORD lead. or is it different, and if so is it designed to fit securely into the hole that needs to be drilled, so that when you plug in the ipod fly lead its doesnt push back behind the glovebox :roll:

im thinking of taking mine back to get them to sort it, what do you think they will say, "sorry thats how they are" or do you think theyll have a go at sorting it, :roll:

On our 1200 mile car, the computer says average MPG is around 34, dont know how accurate it is though, BUT the fuel computer on my XR3i, 6 years ago was pretty accurate, and i doubt they have gone backwards :wink:

i too feel a little let down, might even see what they say at the dealers, :roll:

As im getting used to the FOCUS im starting to notice a few things, like the huge gap between the doorcard and the dashboard where they meet on the drivers side, i get get my finger in the gap, and the passenger side has no gap, is anyone elses focus like this or should i be taking it back for a fix :roll:

what size wheels do you have fitted mate :?:

Sorry for bombarding this forum with posts, but the cars brand new and i want to iron out any faults ASAP, SO, Are everyone elses windscreen wipers noisey, in terms of the noise the blades make on the screen, and not any other bits, it almost sounds as if there is a film of somthing on the screen. im going to clean the screen in a mo, but thought id ask on here first :roll: :roll: :roll:

Im considering getting the dealer to put the EIBACH kit onto my new focus, what amount does it lower the car by, as ideally id like to make it slightly lower at the front than the rear, And also can i get it fitted at a non for garage, without it affecting the warranty, or if not does anybody have any idea what sort of price, a ford dealer would charge :roll: :roll: :roll:

We were looking to get a 12month old FORD DIRECT ZETEC CLIMATE thorugh our local dealer EVANS HALSHAW in NORTHWICH, but we couldnt see the car before we bought it, and even though he assured me it would be spot on, I have had experience with FORD DIRECT cars before so as i couldnt look it over we walked away. And to be honest the sales guys there were just monkeys to guide you to the Arrogant finance director, who sits at his computer looking what car he thinks you can afford, its got nothing to do with looking at a car, THEN talking pennies. The biggest joke of all was that he said a climat

ti be honest its our daily runabout, Most oy my attention is on my XR3i resto project, but have joined the FFOC as i found it inavluabe when i had the previous focus.........and i to intend to keep this one looking good.

just cost me the best part of £100 for a second keyfob and programming etc though :roll:

After 6 weeks wait we have our new focus......... And at the moment, i have to say the Dealer has been as good as gold, we were promised the car for March 1st and as our car was from stock ie already built, it was very well discounted but it wouldnt have the SPORT PACK fitted , but due to a kangaroo up at the dealers it had to be ordered fresh from germany, and the dealer would fit the sport pack as a getsure of good will, Fair enough i thought, But due to a FACTORY delay the car was going to be another three weeks late, and before i could say a word, the sales manager offrered three ye

If any one has a 1.8 zetec climate can they tell me what the speed is at 3000 rpm, i just want to see if the speedo is reading correctly, as i had 17" wheels fitted at the dealers rather than the factory, and know FORD dealers they may not have had the speedo recalibrated :roll:
