  1. I think I have a similar problem. I've replaced both the fuse and the bulbs with no success. Is anyone in the Northampton area able to recommend somewhere I can get the work done? My local dealer is absolutely hopeless (even denying that isofix points can be fitted to a c-max!). Thanks Mark
  2. I've got an 04 1.6 TDCi and have no complaints. Nice and torquey and certainly not dangerously slow in any way. Borrowed my Dad's so-called 'sporty' petrol powered Fiesta a couple of weeks ago and it was nowhere near as good as my C-Max.
  3. All sorted - thanks for all the suggestions. Brute force wins out in the end!!
  4. I've taken the seat out and tried pulling the handle. I'll check for debris (it's a possibility given that the main rear seat passenger is my 20 month old son) and failing that I will use the brute force approach!!
  5. Mine does have the sliding system, and the first thing I tried was the handle at the bottom of the seat wit no success. The springs just seem to be completely stuck and for obvious reasons I don't want to let anyone use the seat whilst it's the way it is.
  6. New member and first post. I've had my 04 C-Max for almost a year and it's given me no trouble. I've noticed however that the middle of the three rear seats does not lock properly into the floor of the car and can be pushed forward. Looking at the handbook and the other two seats suggests that the springs in the base of the seat should be covering the 'nobbly bits' (sorry, I'm not very technical!) but they won't and no amount of WD40 will shift them! Is this a known issue and is there any easy fix? My local dealers are hopeless as regards servicing (one even denied any knowledge of bein
