  4. :?: I want to remove the large plastic trim where the seat back adjustment knob is on the drivers seat, does anybody know how it comes off, is it just a lever it out, or is there a hidden fixing somewhere..cheers

  6. Hio Jezza,. No still not resolved, dealers are a waste of time, my creak has changed in the cold weather now seems to be coming from the centre of the dash trim, have deaden it a lot by sandwiching foam between the windscreen and the trim, 25 mm blocks along the whole length, took all the clearence out, if you push there there is a lot of play in that area, sure it could be cured if I had the courage to remove the whole top panel, but was put off by Denace saying airbag terminations!!!
  7. Hi ..does anybody know how easy it is to remove the top of the dashboard, if you lift the map draw and remove the righthand top trim, it reveals a line of screws, if I remove these screws, does the top trim unclip from near the windscreen and pull away, if so do you need to be careful of the passenger air bag?, got to do something the creaks are driving me mad.......any advice gratefully receieved....cheers...bryfly
  8. Re rattle around seat belt anchorage on "B" pillar, had this on my vehicle which was far worse on a hot day, there is a TSB for this problem that involves reworking the welded edge, front and rear of the pillar between the lock plate and seat belt anchorage, it has reduced my problem considerable, but not a total cure. do not know the TSB No, basically they insert a plastic blade ( end of wheel brace plastic wedge) into the sheetmetal sandwich and open it up a bit to release stresses? etc
  9. Have a look at this forum for peoples ideas about the Renault scenic http://forum.parkers.co.uk/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=8
  10. Update...car back from dealer today, they cannot find a TSB that relates to the problem at 2400rpm, they do agree that the problem is there and they have tried 2 of their own vehicles and it is there also, they have submitted a technical query to Ford for a fix, will update again when i hear something...cheers bryfly
  11. x-rayted, thanks for the reply , i guess you mean the clip by "bolt 3" in the diagram that says 25Nm, this looks like it is a permanent fixture to the exhaust pipe, do you know if that is so?, car is going in on Monday will show them this post, anybody else got expierence of this problem and fix? cheers bryfly
  12. The fix for this problem is highlighted a lot on the French forum, has anybody in the uk had this problem fixed and know if the fix is the same. I supplied my dealer with the comments and fixes from the french forum but he is telling me there is nothing on the Ford site in the UK that references this fault and it might only apply to left hand drive vehicles.... any help gratefully recieved. Cheers Bryfly
  13. Has anybody got a definative fix for this rattle around the seat belt height adjuster, been driving around with the top trim off and it appears to be coming from the bottom trim panel, if i tape the bottom trim to the door pillar the noise is reduced by about 80%, but does not appear to be the whole solution, any other ideas people. Fibrepro any chance you can find out from your dealer what the exact fix was??
  14. Think you will find they are the same as the Std Focus ones, see below taken from Ford web site.................... Mud Flaps rear, 3/5 door, not in combination with RS rear bumper Order number: 1073589 £ 21.50 Also available: Mud Flaps front, 3/5 door, not in combination with RS body side skirts Order number: 1073587 £ 21.50 Regards Bryfly
  15. Cannot help you with a fix, but i have exactly the same problem and if the car has been left out in the sun all day it is much louder, I can also hear it coming from the passenger side as well. If I move the seat belt height adjuster from top to bottom location the noise moves down with it as well, tried putting my fingers through the hole where the belt is fixed and no matter what I touch the nise continues, will be on my list next time i go into the dealer, was going to take the side trim off myself to have a look, but noticed the sign up the top for Airbag, so thought beeter of it.
