  1. Think of the 2.0 TDci as a very quick car. Anything above 35 mpg a bonus. I drive an 1149 cc Clio everyday to work at 53 mpg and group 2 insurance. When i have a journey - or am in a hurry ... bring out the C max!
  2. Read Honest John in The Daily Telegraph and he tells everyone the Max is the most comfortable car there is. Also I shocked a guy in a BMW X5 3.0D being driven badly when I shot past him when not expecting it. Spent the next 25 miles trying to pass me with no luck. Performance now that approaching 10000 miles is going from good to excellent and economy on the 2.0 Tdci engine has improved from 37/38 to 43/44. A better car than my old BMW 330D Touring!
  3. :( Well after 7 months totally reliable motoring a little engine has appeared on my 2.0 TDCi C Max instrument panel. Any ideas what could be wrong? Do I need to bring it back to the dealer? Thanks
  4. Well sitting outside is a 2005 Ghia 2.0 TDCi and a 2005 BMW 320d {yes new model 163 bhp}. I am about to drive 300 miles. I'll take the comfortable, quiet, roomy and faster car... and yes its the C Max! Lent to my neighbour recently to collect a new washing machine. He left me his Merc C270 Cdi. He was gobsmacked by the Max and I was disappointed by the three pointed star. :P
  5. As I have mislaid my handbook can anyone tell me how to set the clock on a 2004.5 Cmax 2.0 TDCi Ghia with the normal Ford {not Sony} CD player. Thanks
  6. Enough, enough. I don't work for Ford but am moderately well off. I never spend a huge wad on a car again and today my beloved C Max told me that I needed fuel {it was nearly half full and it zeroed the clock} so maybe just maybe I'll have to return here again ... :brickwall
  7. Over the past 10 years I have owned several cars. Not just any cars. Cars that were highly thought of and respected. Expensive ones. They included three new BMWs the last one being a 330d Touring 208 bhp and over £32k. I had a new Merc 220 cdi and a Toyota Avensis. The best, most surprisingand totally brillianr new car I have had since 1997 is ... a new C-Max 2.0 TDCi Ghia. I am stunned that Henry can produce a car of such ability and versality as the C-Max. I don't work for them. I'll never post on this website again but a fantastic car
  8. I have just taken delivery of a new 2.0 TDCi on motability in machine silver. Its a great car - fast and well equipped. I paid the dealer £300. £650 advance payment minus £350 voucher from Ford. Took deliver Thursday last and have now done 300 miles. My last car was a new BMW 330d which I sold to fund a house purchase. Mid range the 2.0TDCi would give it a run for its money!
