i have the sony unit in my zetec climate - bought it last june, i think you get the aux input in the glovebox as standard with either of the sony units. i test drove one with the normal ford unit, and you can tell the diffence - the extra speakers, mp3 playback & connectivity make it worth the extra £200 As for the 17" wheels - shouldn't effect your insurance as they are a factory fitted option - although i did ask on the insurance forum part of the site to see - i think the 17" suit the car slighly better (fill the wheel arch better) but i'm slightly biased as i have them on mine - from

Rocky - When i was considering colours for my new focus, i was tempted by the colorado red (looked good in the ms design catalogue) but was told that it was one of the worst colours for resale value - i have also heard that the red plastic areas have a tendancy to go slighlty pink over time - although i'm not sure if this is an issue any more (especially with the new focus). In the end, i opted for the panther black - the only other colour i considered was jeans - the new focus looks better in the darker colours in my opinion Anyway whatever colour you choose - you'll have a cracking car.

Wardells method also works on zetec's - well worked perfectly on mine.

Cheers fella's, i wasn't sure - attempted all manner of holding buttons down on the remote but with no result.

Having lived with my new motor for nearly a month, i'm still discovering little things about the car - cubby holes in the side of he car (rear seats)etc. The Cd played is superb - i've mastered using everything via the facia and got to grips with using the steering wheel controls (new to me - didn't have them on the last focus), I've been through the audio manual that came with the car and don't seem to be able to discover the following: Is it possible to change the mp3 folder i.e. mp3 album via the controls on the steering wheel?

Like airbags and ABS - it's one of those things that you don't appreciate untill called upon - I would rather drive around knowing that if i were in a situation where esp was called upon i've got it in the car. People think nothing of having airbags as standard today, but when buying a new car they want it to have a much safety kit as possible. Most more expensive cars tend to have esp as standard,so like most technologies it will gradually appear as standard on cars lower down the price range

got it friday - so pleased with it - looks fantastic - but already showing the muck. Still finding little things - neat touches here and there. What i can't get over is how much quieter and refined it is over the previous model - you don't appreciate how much more effort has gone on the interior when on a test drive - having spent the weekend living with it - it's fantastic. i've attempted to sign up to photobucket(to post some pic's) -it won't let me log in without an activation email (not recieved) so having problems uploading photo's - can anyone put me in the right direction of another

found out today - should have the new car delivered next week - sods law (having had the car broken into yesterday) Anyway Can't wait - will attempt to put photo's up when it arrives

Finally got the new motor on order javascript:emoticon(':D') Very Happy 1.6 TiVCT - 3DR Zetec Climate panther black - i know everyone says its a pain to keep clean, but it looks fantastic opted for the sony cd player, 17" alloys and esp ( from the recommendations from the forum) Now all i've got to do is wait 7 weeks, - nasty feeling they'll drag on anyway thanks to everyone who gave me advice, definitely keep on using and abusing the wealth of knowledge from you guys. there is 0% apr on the new focus - drove past the local dealer yesterday evening - behold plastered all over the display car on the forecourt - 0% apr available on new focus

I've tried the local dealers but they wouldn't shift on price - hence saving £2k plus off the list price from www.motorlogix.com seems a better option - i would love to buy the new car from a local dealership but i don't think it'll happen.

Have been hunting around to get the best deal on a new focus Zetec Climate and have been quoted £12252 for a focus zetec climate in magnum grey, with the sony 6-cd player and esp - this will be a pre-registered car. i was wondereing if being the 2nd owner on the log book will have any majpr effect on resale values further on - i haven't a clue as all my previous cars have been second hand to start with.

thanks for the help everyone - trying to go on a test drive in a 2ltr and a titanium as suggeted - hopefully this will sort my dilema out - and get my order placed - from the responses whatever spec i get, it'll have ESP

kevin thanks for the info - nice looking motor you've got there - adding the body kit certainly makes the Mk2 look good. Will probably end up going for the Zetec and adding the extra's - just need to find out what sort of wait i'd have, if I added the Cd player - the rest will come later i think

Proposing on changing up from my 1.6 Zetec to the Mk2 focus - have been on a test drive in 1.6(115) zetec climate - fantastic car - was realy quite sceptical about the looks to start with but having seen a few out and about its grown on me a lot . The only dilema I have now is what spec to go for - To go for the Zetec climate is a straight swap from my current car - obviously this has the sports suspension and more sporty take on things - or go for the titanium trim with all the added bits and bobs - Are the added extras woth having - i.e auto lights, auto windscreen wipers, sony cd
