  1. yes,, just don't pull from one handle only as it will come off as happened in my case!
  2. Hi I had the habit of closing the hatch at the back of my focus by pulling down on the left hand side insert 'hole' rather than with both hands... result - the clips holding the plastic backing of the hatch came off the hatch itself I managed to re-insert them however they dont offer such a close fit as before anymore and surely less than on the right hand side.. so i am now closing the hatch by pulling down on the metal door itself :(
  3. glad i've got my magnum grey already then!
  4. Hi I have noticed that the light in the glove compartment remains lit even when closed... I have to push hard on the compartment door then it switches off.. Seems like the door itself is not pushing enough on the switch. Makes no difference to me but I guess the light will heat up a small area on the compartment door itself being near to the bulb? Don't know whether you noticed this ( :?: or actually your passengers would have cos it's not visible from the driver's seat)
  5. What about the TDCi engines? I've never reached 3000 revs. I have a 1.6 TI-VCT & find it's OK if you use the revs a lot more, takes a bit of getting used to, as most people are scared they might harm the engine, but the VCT is built to do this better performance from a small engine. Kevin
  6. Where can i view some pics of the Mk1 interiors? cant seem to find any online! Regs
  7. there don't seem to be any PDF manuals around.. i 've been looking for a PDF car manual too to no avail! :turn-l:
  8. Yes but what about this one.. http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67593 i have the sound proofing material but no cover. i guess the cover is more useful to keep the engine free of grit from the road rather than for any kind of sound proofing regs
  9. Yes the material is felt.. but there are surely tougher grades.. :?
  10. hi all, not really what i'd call 'damage', however, there is a protective patch of insulation (don't really know what to call it!) on the passenger's seat belt latch (i.e. that part of the seat belt which is fixed to the floorboard and which the seat belt latches into). this insulation protection seems to be there to prevent this latch from getting in contact with the centre console. unfortunately it is starting to get off since it's a delicate material.. i wonder whether this has happened to you and what have you done to remedy? it's either some double sided tape to stick it back in pla
  11. Hi all just got my new FF yesterday.. great car would like to ask, should it have an engine cover? mine does not though it has what seem to be its attachment slots. The model is a 1.6 TDCi Trend version. Another , are there any car manuals available online? [pdf versions] thanks
