I have had my C-Max 1.8 Ghia in the dealers today. The Sony single CD player was causing a drain of 2 amps which was causing the battery to drain. They have removed it and are to get an exchange unit for the stereo. He had said that this is known fault with these.

Some vandal has knocked the glass out of my 2005 Ghia C-Max (Passenger side). The glass has also smashed and is detached from the plastic backplate. So I need replacement glass (with heater element) and also how to fit. Does anyone know where the most cost effective place to get the glass from and how it fits? Regards

My 2005 CMAX had a message come up on the dashboard today. It looks pretty serious. On pulling over and switching the engine off, it appears to have cleared the problem. Can anyone shed any light on it?

I believe that those keys only come with the Ghia model.

Can anyone let me know how I can tell if my windscreen is the solar blocking type? I have a PDA/GPS unit which is having problems with picking up more than 3 satellites. In my previous car (Focus) I never had this problem.

According to the Ford brochure it is possible to set a delay on the headlights so that they stay on whilst you get to your front door, the lights come on OK, but they switch off as I turn off the ignition. I think that I have worked out they windscreen wipers too. Tey have to be set to minimum speed on intermittent. They will only then come on when rain hits the sensor. Thnks for your responses.

Hi all, I picked up my 1.8 Ghia CMAX yesterday and it is fantastic. However I am not able to get either the delayed headlights or the auto windscreen wipers to work. The manual is obviously out of date as the windscreen wiper stalk doesn't look like mine. I have the variable intermittent wiper thingy. Please help?

I have spoken to the dealer and he has told me that the keys provided are the flip remote and the normal key. He has also stated that the normal key is blue doted which means that it will only be able to code the immobilier and not the remote part. I therefore believe that I will need to get the dealer to code it for me. Unless anyone knows of another way.

Thanx 4-candles, I will check with the dealer to find out what keys are supplied with the car. Pichacker I thought that both elements could be completed as I have both keys. I have seen posts on here (Sticky) that show how it is done also.

I have recently ordered a new Focus c-Max 1.8 Ghia for delivery on the 1st September 2005 from Dagenham Motors (Essex). I need a second remote key and have been quoted £155. The key price is £55 incl VAT which means that the balance of £100 is labour. Can anyone let me know what exactly the labour element is for and whether this is correct or if I can get it cheaper elsewhere.
