  1. I have a brochure for both the 2004 and 2005 models. Just let me know what info you need and I will only be too glad to type you the details.
  2. Not being funny, but why the hell would you want to chip the 2.0 litre TDCi. It's a bloody flying machine as it is ! The wife has kittens now. Hate to think what she would be like if I put my foot down in a chipped Maxi.
  3. Sorry, to answer the question about the model, it is a 2.0 litre TDCi Ghia. We were originally looking for the 1.6 but was tempted by all the wonderful things you 2.0 litre owners said about your cars. They don't hang about do they ! And yes, it is the one from Ebay. As someone mentioned above, the stereo mentions MP3 next to the button, and after trying to insert more than one disk, have now realised that it is single disc only. Was this a cheaper option ?
  4. Picked up my new motor yesterday and have a few questions for you C-Max experts out there : The first is with regards to the rear door blind. One of the clips at the top of the door has snapped off. Do you know how easy this will be to source and fit? Is it a job for Mr.Ford or something I can sort out myself? The next question is with regards to the rear headrest / Restraint (whatever the hell you call them these day's). Have sussed out how to raise and lower, but do you know if they can be completely removed? My son has his car seat in the back, and to protect the leather, I wanted to pu
  5. After all that, one has just appeared on Ebay! Very nice looking Ghia 2.0TDCi in Panther Black with the camel leather interior. Might even be one of you chap's that is selling. Think it said Cardiff.
  6. Thought about using this one, which was designed to suit the new shape Focus - Which presumably means that it will fit the C-Max.
  7. Tim, Had a look on the Matlock Ford website, and as you said, there were a few examples of the camel leather interior. Many thanks for that. To be honest, it does not look all that bad. I do think it would have suited a darker colour car though and not the Tonic. I guess everybodies taste is different though.
  8. Thanks for that Ken! The wife would have gone mad if everytime she tried to select reverse, she hit first gear.
  9. Sorry if this sounds like a very odd question, but it is due to the fact that I haven't actually taken delivery of my C-Max as yet. With regards to the 1.6TDCi Ghia, is reverse top left or bottom right ? The only reason I ask is that I am thinking of replacing the standard gear knob for one slightly more attractive. Have seen quite a few for sale on various automotive web sites but did not want to purchase until I was sure about the reverse position - obviously! I take it that it is not a lift-reverse on the C-Max. We have test driven one, but honestly I cannot remember. Just to finish, are th
  10. Tim, You mentioned that I should check the operation of the DVD player. Are there any known problems with them? Just wondered if that's why you brought the subject up. I take it that with the DVD being roof mounted. you get wireless headphones. Or am I just jumping to conclusions?
  11. Hello guy's and Gal's, This is my first post as a new C-Max owner, even though I have not actually taken delivery of the car as yet. I tried to source a 1.6TDCi Ghia locally, but could not find one anywhere for the right sort of money. In the end, my a dealership located nearby said they had one on their system which they could get hold of, but they would need a quick decision. After a lengthy negotiation over the price, we have ordered an 04 plate in 'Tonic' that is winding it's way up from Poole in Dorset. When ordered the dealer could only tell us the registration number and mileage. I aske
