  1. I also have the 2.0TDCI Ghia and havent had one bit of trouble with it. Its refreshing to hear of others who have been lucky. I know this board maybe makes the car sound bad but thats only because people post the bad points mainly and not the good points. Getting niggles fixed can surely be a hassle but im sure at the end of the day everyone is more than happy with their C-max.
  2. Hey guys im back from my time away. Been lurking the boards when ive been away but not been able to add anything. Hope you are all well and christmas preperations going good :) Anyway brings me to my question. It was something my girlfriend asked me the other day, first i thought it was her being silly, but the more ive thought about it im getting paranoid so thought id see what people think. I know Chrischitty has brought up about sponges but i wanted to know is it ok to put the c max through a standard car wash? i mean with the extra height do these things adjust or has nobody taken the
  3. i am now paying £10 less a year on tax having 2.0tdci c max than when i had a 1.6i petrol saxo. and about £25 a year less on insurance????
  4. Well guys just wanted to throw in my figures. As you know ive only had the car a few days, and ive actually only used the trip computer once. This was on about a 70 mile round trip. the trip consisted of both motorway and town driving, and also a few stretches of road where i really had a chance to boot the car. At the end of the journey i had averaged 43mpg. I know this was a short road test but i was more than happy with the results. I am not sure of software versions or anything. Next month i will be driving to scotland and back, so its a 400mile round trip up the A1, looking forward to see
  5. wow scottie that really is a nice looking car. I see what you mean about mudflaps too, for something fairly small and significant they really do add to overall image :)
  6. yeah i guess £70 is steep. i will check with my local ford dealer. will have to wait though, going to work on wednesday so going to be out of the country for the next month, still have internet access so i will be reading forum. I ment to ask too scotty do you have pics of your c max? was interested in seeing how the mudflaps looked. And the lowering kit charlieR mentioned. what exactly does this include?
  7. thanks scottie, but what do you think of this one. this is the one i originally refered to. its on e bay now. but even in the picture it looks like if you move the seats it would fowl on the mat. But i may be wrong :) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FOCUS-C-MAX- ... dZViewItem
  8. i did see those ones mate are they any good? its just the one i have seen a pic of on here looked really good, proper ford one, and perfect fit. the ones ive seen on e bay, some pics dont show you but other pics show the edges of the mat just rolled up sides of car, ie it fits but not perfect. any idea how much proper ford one would be?
  9. i hadnt really thought of doing any modding. mudflaps and lowering sounds ok. think first thing though is getting front parking sensors, rear ones really good and its a big car for me and g/f to be driving after being used to a 3 door saxo so it may come in handy. Oh and a rubber boot mat :)
  10. Well guys i got it! and it really is a good car. Went out a long drive in it yesterday, and have been out again this morning. I can see why every one who wons a c-max likes it so much. I really am a happy customer. Stereo is getting replaced soon, so no sounds as im driving, but sat nav works and is good. Heres a pic i took yesterday. i took it quickly will take better ones soon. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d39/dexuk/car002.jpg
  11. Well picking it up at 3 o clock so will be leaving in about 1 hour :)
  12. YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!! Just had my phone call, and im picking the car up tomorrow!!! Ford are fixing/replacing the stereo, so i may be getting car without head unit while its being repaired but that will only be short term. Man am i relieved. What a stressfull week. Im sorry i keep coming in here and burdoning you guys with my problems :) hopefully will be positive comments soon! and photos to follow. I am sat here grinning like a cat, will have sore cheecks by this time tomorrow
  13. Well the latest news on this saga: when i test drove the car the salesman tried to put on the radio, but couldnt get it to work. Its a built in touch screen dvd sat nav unit, he couldnt get it to work but just presumed he was doing something wrong and said dont worry as you will get the manual, but in the meantime they have tried to get it working and failed. So they need to send it to another ford garage nearby. To make this a little clearer, im buying the car from "the car people" the car is still under waranty. I have all the necessary documents now to do trade in with my car. so i called t
