On a slightly different tangent I got a call from my local dealer yeserday saying that they can now discount the ST. I asked him why and he said, rather candidly, that the sales of STs through the dealer networks had fallen below initial expectations and ford have agreed to discount. Only a month before he said that no discount would be availble. One thing I have learned in all my years buying cars is never to pay full price! :lol:

Putting aside economic theories, supply and demand, price fixing, monopolies and potential cartels there is an underlying question why one broker appears to have continued to under-price other brokers and presumably take a good number of orders on what appeared to be "an unbeatable price". I have sourced from a different broker and was orginally quoted a similar price to that advertised by Buymynewcar. Even though I've ordered an ST2 I think the VXR is more "sporty" with its angular lines. That said having seen and sat in them both I do think the ST is a better all rounder. Suits my needs better too as it has a bit more space!

Has anyone got any info on whether the ST xenons are bi :P or single?

I'm getting mine through UK Car Broker - March delivery but was originally quoted end of April. They have been excellent - that's my opinion.

And looking at Fast Ed's whels he had probably spent that on mods and what does he have? - A Focus that is not an ST!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I've just come back from my local garage and they have an orange ST in the showroom that is going out on Monday. I checked the colour carefully and thought the bumpers were OK but the running strips were much darker. Even the salesman said that!

Looks like UK Car Broker got it wrong! :cry: :cry: They are ringing people to inform tham that the discount is not what they first thought and that customers have to pay an extra c.£1500 - puts this in line with UK Car Discount.
