i think the new focus looks very boring, but also the old model did (except the RS) -
Anyone got a photo of the dashboard with DEATC?

But doesn't the normal air con not have "climate control" ie, you turn it on and it just blows hot or cold dry air, but otherwise works just like a normal heater? I've got used to proper climate control in my old car, so I think I'd miss it... nope, not on the knob version, its just twist and see what you get iirc -
well the one i drove was an st3, it had a spare tyre, and had footwell lights, either that or there was a small elecrtrical fire LOL, oh and had mirror lights too, the missus isnt going to be happy if there not there as she likes them, IT WAS A VERY EARLY BUILD THO
-
the st i test drove had footwell lighting !!!?
-
lol, just stop bitching eh, if you dont mind buying an old platform buy the rs (very good car), if you like a new car with 3 years warranty then get the st (again very good car), in the end thats what it came down to for me, and i prefer a new tiptop condition car for the same price as a good condition 2 -3 year old car
-
im guessing he wont be able to map his own car, and im also guessing he wont be too keen on ripping his engine to bits (like 95% of people wont be able too), , but if he is then good on him, and he may be able to do it for half the 3k i originally mentioned, then again !!! ps were the argument ??, i thought it was a discussion, well except for the unecessary RUBBISH comment
-
so im right then he will not cheaply mod his car up by 30-50bhp then ??? yes, if he had a forced indcution engine he could get 50bhp + for around £300
-
yeh were not talking £300 chip work here tho are we for that sort of work your talking serious money, which would be better spent on getting another car, and as you know throttle bodies need setting up properly (costly), and need re setting up regullay
-
exactly, he was talking about just getting a chip, that would not give him 50bhp, and there is no cheap way of getting 50bhp from a NA engine, you may as well have bought a faster car for the money you would need to spend, especially with the extra stresses on the engine it would cause
-
no need for the rubbish comment but hey, so tell me how then !!!
-
you will be lucky to make any power from an induction kit, chips may help a bit (upto 10bhp) but you are never going to get 30-50 bhp more on a normally aspirated engine, well not without giving it some form of forced induction or swopping the engine, or increasing its bore or expensive engine mods, i would say your looking at 3k +, only other option is for NOS but thats not a long term solution
-
it is shallow, but you can take the spare wheel out and its carrier, and your boot will be deeper, you can then use those spray foams as you spare, my old clio 182 never had a spare, so i personally will be taking mine out

182_blue replied to 182_blue's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011

i love the rs, and would have got one, but i dont like buying an older model when theres a new one out, as they begin to look dated etc
