  4. Its from the drivers side. Same principal on passengers side though. Small grey holder. Once you find the drivers side your sorted

  8. Hi Gain mate, Yup I found the 3 pin connector first also and hadnt a clue what it was. But your correct its for the optional air-bag deactivator. Will be at least a week before the lite comes from Germany as I have to return the plus first. But will post here again as soon as I have it. Will put a pic of the cradle up on Monday. Enjoy the weekend. Alan.
  9. Hi rickm550... The 4pin connector behind the glovebox exists alright.. I have been using it to play the ipod through for a few months now. Its only on the Zetec models up pre-loomed.. On an LX etc you would need to loom it yourself. I have Zero free connectors on the back of my head-unit. The AUX for the glovebox and the Connector to the Column controls and Voice recognition fill them all. The dension Plus has an 8 pin connector. Wont go into the back of the 6000CD. Despite the site saying it does. It works with the 6000 (no CD) and on the Sony. I have however resolved the problem. The
  10. Hi Guys, Just got the DENSION ICE-Link--Plus... Its supposed to be fully compatible with the 6000CD head unit...But I cant for the life of me figure out where it connects 2. 100% sure it dosent go into the back of the head unit. Is there a connector taped somewhere on a loom for a CD changer? Any help be mush appreciated.
  11. I'm waiting on a set of keys/dension ice-link pro and a Pro clip to be delivered..Once I have it i'll post some pics of the radio removed and surround also.
  12. Cheers rob...Ive gone for the Dension Ice-Link Plus. Waiting for delivery. Will post pics etc when install is complete. Got the full kit from E168 so not 2 bad. The Bracket is a killer through..£34??????? Thats crazy..For a simple bracket??
  13. Hi Guys, Just got a copy of the Irish Dealers Price list (Accesories Only). Think it was sent to me by mistake ;-) Anyway anyone wishing to know Eire prices and or FINIS codes (Although Tezza has that all covered in extreme detail) give me a shout. Actually makes a good read. Has hints and tips for the dealer on how to sell as many accessories to the customer as possible.
  14. Dealer price in Eire is E126 for Petrol and E189 for diesal..Thats plus the vat and minus labour
  15. Hi Tony, Many thanks for pointing me in right direction. I gave the search a go but Firefox garbles it up a little on me. Think its a scripting issue with one of my pluggins. Again many thanks. Alan.
  16. Hi Guys, I know this is one more for the ICE section than here but has anyone fitted their new MKII out with a good ipod install, and if so what did they go for? Thinking of a Dension solution. Pics would be great. Many thanks.
  17. The Techy stuff below. Technical Operation: When reverse gear is selected the small control unit generates a magnetic field and transfers this to the transceiver adhesive strip that is placed on the inner side of and run the length of your bumper. The magnetic strip then sends out an elliptical magnetic field to cover full the area around your bumper. The transceiver strip works by sending and receiving unlike Ultra-sonic parking sensors that require 2 types of sensors, one to send and one to receive; if they become dirty the ultra-sonic performance can deteriorate. This creates the field.
  18. True.. Might take a leap of faith and Drop into Maplin next time wage packet comes round. They do the kit 2 although its a lil cheaper on ebay. Well guess im the Guinea Pig. Will repost when I get it fitted.
  19. Hi Guys, Any1 seen or had one of these fitted??? Any thoughts? http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/taurus.asp
  20. Just had a look at my Feb Registered 06 Zetec. Underside of the doors are not fully sprayed. They are a mix between red (color of car) and white showing through... Yet another penny pincher from Ford...Although ,apart from the drainage holes at the bottom of the doors which leave dirty steaks on the side skirts this is the first fault ive found on mine.
  21. Hi Guys, Have a Mk11 Zetec with MS kit. However supplier didnt Color code the black bumping strips. Really lets the car down. Anyone know the FINIS number for the strips. Could get the ones already on it sprayed but am I correct in saying it wont have the same finish as a newly primed set?? Also anyone with the MS kit have any color mismatch probs?? Tanx in advance.
  22. Dont have dead lock. Pressing the lock button just once flashes the lights twice. Its crazy the way UK spec is different from UK spec. We cant even get a diesal Zetec here.. Will At least not when I ordered my 1.6 petrol. Dealer said couldnt get it for me. Car prices here are crazy anyway. Thinking of bringing my next one in from Germany. Save about E3000 even after tax and flights.
