  1. So there are screws behind the radio that hold the upper part of the facia? How would I get access to this? Yes I'm a Focus newb (although I could tell you how to disassemble/assemble a whole Aussie made Falcon)
  2. If your running the 17s, Id look at going up to around 42 when hot. The lower the PSI the more you'll have tyrewall flex and bending, causing unwanted heat.
  3. In Australia its called the Zetec kit. Not sure if its any diffrent from the hatch skirts
  4. Does anyone have an outline of what off the shelf engine modifications there are? ie: Are there any ways to fit the VCT from the Mazda 3 (pretty sure the Focus has no VCT) Would you be able to put in the internals from the Duratec 2.3 and add extra displacement? Anyone had headwork done to their engine? Anyone have extractors or aftermarket exhaust, and have had good gain out of it? Does company flash the stock ECU to a custom tune? Are there any off the shelf superchargers or turbo kits? Cheers,
  5. How do you remove the radio/HVAC surround? I can't seem to see any screws, and I don't want to break anything by pulling it.
  6. Werd. I'm probably going to earth the wire that goes to the seatbelt, but I have my 15000km service sometime this week so I'll let them suss it out before I do this.
  7. I notice I have trouble starting when the engine has been stopped facing up a slope. It probably has something to do with fuel pickup in the tank
  8. Id say go for the Civic, But some things you may have not known What we dont get that I wish we had. 1. Zetec firmer suspension (like Australia does) (if it has 17" and the Zetec body kit will most probably have the Zetec suspension standard. If not check out King Springs au on google.) 5. Front seats need to be slightly lower. Like the Zetec models in Australia. The zetec seats aren't lower. You can adjust the height though via a lever but the zetec has the same seats as the rest of the range
  9. Only if the rolling diameter changes. You should be able to go 19" without rolling diameter changing.
  10. 1. Someone in Australia here is running 20x7s on his New Focus. 2. 16" Comfort, 17" Comfort/Handling comprimise, 18" Handling on smoother roads, 19"+ Bling
  11. Check your tyre pressues, I used to complain about road noise, I then inflated my 17"s from 35 to 44 PSI cold, and road noise was cut in half. I Also got better handling and the ride improved a tad as well(with harder tyres, funny that) Also when its time, shop around for some quieter tyres than those that come OEM
  12. I live on a battleaxe block therefore I have to reverse around 25/30 metres down my driveway. It is almost imposssible to turn my back with the seatbelt on. Considering it happens as soon as the ignition is turned to II (and not moving it gets rather annoying) Another situation is warming up the car. I'd normally jump in the car and start it, then prepare my trip ie put luggage in boot, pick a CD, dig out toll money.
  13. Mine comes on as soon as I turn the ignition to II. The seatbelt light in the dash also doesn't turn off after 10 secs Its a Aus spec (South African built) LX Focus. I've gone through the trip computer and all the tones are turned off (thank God) cept the seatblet still chimes!
