  1. Thanks for the comments. Yes, footsfitter it turns out I got it wrong it is the condenser. I've booked the car in for the replacement in any case. Will ask to see the damage just so I can satisfy myself that its genuienly wear and tear.
  2. I've been having a problem with my air-con recently, first it started making a whirring noise and then cold air stopped coming out altogether. Took it to the dealers today to get it checked out. Apparently a loose stone or chip has "pierced" the compressor and I need a new one. But the warranty I was told doesn't cover this. This is the first time I've ever had a car under warranty. The repairs will cost £350 (inc labour and VAT). Is it feasible for a stone chip to penetrate so deep into the car in this way?
  3. I've got the connects2 link up to my i-pod. It's a very neat and convenient solution. Allows me to select my "Driving" playlist, leaving the i-pod in the glove box and skip tracks using the stalk control. Ace!
  4. Cheers Rick ! I think I've got enough to go on there. Lets see if I can get this to work. :D
  5. I have found this site extremely useful for finding about issues to do with plugging in mp3 players and the work required to do that. However, I am not too keen to poke around my newish Focus with a screwdriver. I'd be happy getting someone better qualified to sort me out an i-pod connection and all the trimmings if the price is right. I have an aux button (but haven't checked behind the glove box) I am also very interested in a version which allows track changes from the cars audio controls I am not interested in any radio type link I live within the M25 Do any of you folks know of
  6. I suppose its horses for courses really. I have a 55 1.6 (100bhp) Sport and I can tell you it's got way more grunt than the M reg 1.2 whizzpopper Corsa I was driving before! Not quite settled to getting good mpg yet. Similarly, getting used to this sharper breaking too, but overall more than happy with the power.
  7. Just got my first car last month (Focus Sport 1.6 Panther Black) - and very nice it is as well! Anyway, being new to this game, I as wondering the best way to purchase accessories. The car needs some Focus Car mats and maybe some of the other trinkets I've seen in the brochure. Although there are part numbers available on this site it doesn't appear that you can walk into a dealer and buy some mats like in a shop. Is there anywhere on-line you can simply buy stuff, or do some dealers have all the parts you can pick up without phoning ahead? Thanks in advance :D
