Why is it that when you get to 205/50/17 the price of tyres shoots up? I got my dad at the weekend 4 Pirelli P6000's for his 1.6 Scenic at £65 each in a 205/55/16 fitment. I've tried to get someone else i know a tyre and i'm being quoted £90+ for tyres that aren't even that good! I know a guy that said he would do me tyres cheap but at the moment i'm not sure. I think £65 for the P6000's was a good price...but for the 17" tyres he wants £90+! He's now offered Nankang NS2's at £53 each. Alright guys, So what tyres are we running at the moment? What do we consider to be the best tyre around at the moment? I've currently got Goodyear Eagle NCT 5's on my Titanium, which were the tyres that came on the car when i got it. Cheers.

What do you mean by the "middle" bulbs? Dipped headlights are H7, main beam are H1 and front fogs are H8 with sidelights being W5W 501. If you're after a brighter bulb, look out for one with a higer wattage output. Try and steer clear from Blue coated bulbs! Whilst they might look nice and a bit like HID's...the blue on the bulb absorbs some of the light and so they won't be as bright. I'd go for Philips Xtreme Power or Osram Nightbreakers. They're both a bit pricey but are very good bulbs!

Well he said that it would be a full panel respray...but i highly doubt it! It's gonna be either a touch up kit or maybe try and get it done under the house insurance. Will have to speak to my dad tonight!

Well...i WON'T be using ChipsAway! The damage is really minor...yet i was quoted £165 +VAT...bringing it to a whopping £193.87 with VAT!!!!! I've got no idea what i'm gonna do now...but i'm NOT paying that!!! I reckon he was just trying to make it worth his while because the damage is so minimal and he probably thought 'Guy in a suit....59 reg car....he can afford it!"...I CAN'T!!! lol!

:shock: £700 +VAT...for the back of a seat???? BLOODY HELL!!!!!! That is just pure robbery! They might aswell have a gun! Well i described the damage to the guy on the phone and he thinks its repairable. He's coming to where i work on Monday to take a look and give me an estimate.

Yeah it's really bad. My dad calls it "Trolley Rash". Whether it's a Focus or a Lada...people should be respectful of other people's property like you say. None of us knew that the tiles were in that condition tho. They look ok from the outside...yet one slam of the door and one flies off! I'm in that stage now where i dont even wanna use the car cos of the damage. I know it's there...even if people don't spot it! :(

Can't believe it! I was on my way out this morning, closed the door to my house...and as i did, a roof tile came off and hit the back of my mk 2.5! Its scraped down to the metal and has slightly cracked the rear bumper! P!SSED OFF!!!! I've got a guy from ChipsAway calling me back. He said it sounds repairable. Guys, Has anyone changed the bulb in their rear numberplate? Can you tell me if this was an easy job? Please post any pics if u have them and let me know which bulbs you used! Cheers! :lol:

I had black lexus style lights on my mark 2 and the fit wasn't too bad. I didn't think they looked cheap and my car got lots of attention. I would've gone for the LED ones but wasn't sure how they fitted and they were alot more expensive.

My passenger side Osram Nightbreaker packed up tonight! Not happy at all considering i've not had them in the car that long! I've had to replace both p/s and d/s bulbs with some bulbs i had already. Not sure who they're made by or anything but they look very nice and white with a blue tint. I think they're just Halfrauds "Laser Blue" bulbs but they work well! :)

I don't see any difference between the Philips Xtreme and the Osram Nightbreakers i have in at the moment...and the Osrams are brighter than the Xtreme's! I'm thinking of putting in some Philips Blue Visions. What do we think??
