Was infomed by my dealer today that there is another recall coming. Its to do with the car losing all charge in extreme low temps. Onoly for dervs thoug. They fixed mine today so I need to go bck when the recal notice comes in and have it stamped. C

thanks - its actually a fault! There is a recall coming out or so they say, they had to re program the computer as in real low temps the entire car discharges or summit. All fixed though. Thanks

TomTom70 - i feel foolish - thank you - all now working and correct. Now another question for the Oracle :) Just bought my fatherinlaw from my mother in alw a satnav for his car. Had to be cheap so got the Packard Bell DesinAtor 40 from PC World for 230 quid. I do not really like it and wondered if that cheap NavMan was any better in your view? Ta C

i heard the old road angels (the 400 quid ones) are becoming illegal due to the laser detector in em.. Hence the compact with add on. Flog it and get the navigator :)

well I am not having another derv jam. Had cars for 16 years, this is our first derv and today it did not start. Battery dead as a do do. Have no leads and was at work and mrs was at home about to take kids to pre school - so a two mile walk in the rfreezing cols certainly woke them up!!! So RAC man called, very nice chap, came - fired ti up and blamed it on te derv taking far more power. Only 18 months old and aI need a new battery - not impressed. We do a 90 mile round trip twice a month, have not done this trip sonce Nov 9 so its been little hops about town, but not enough for it to dr

possibly right, but surely he uis doing no different then the car manufacturers on the old TC - you know new Focus from 999 on the road, but they show a fully loaded one with Sony and all that. Same meat different gravey in my book. ANyone looking for a car would know the diff between an LX and a Ghia. Maybe he shuld have just used a pic fromt eh FOrd site. TomTom70 - do you know if you can upgrade the standard Touchscreen sat nav froma 2004 maxi to take bluetooth? We have the Ford intergrated car phone kit, but it aint bluetooth Ta C

I have had this in my c-max for 18 months and think its great. TomTom70 You might recall I have ahd this DVD sat nav n my cmax for 18 months. Never knew the icons could have sound :) Tell me more. Also I want to buy a cheap hand held sat nav for use in teh US. Something with full US maps. There are some Garmin models on eBay with iunlocked US maps for 40 quid, too good to be true I think, but as the guru can you suggest anything? Thanks Craig

They shoudl do "menu" pricing for you. Thats way over the top mate - 130 tops. You can ask them why is so hiogh or walk somewhere else and have it done. C
