  1. I went for the 1.6 TDCi Estate. It was 109 vs 115, (I used to have the 1.8 Mk1.5). It isn't too bad. I've only done about 3.5k miles so far, but I haven't had less than 53mpg. It is a little slower up hills, and doesn't have that 'kick' that you used to get with the old Mk 1.5.
  2. I've done a comparison of my Zetec Climate with the 17" wheels with a GPS. I've found that the speedo is quite accurate. Only about 5% out rather than the usual 10%. 73/4 on the clock gives a GPS reading of 70. Since I have a TDCi, I can't give you the equivalent by revs.
  3. I used to have a Mk 1.5 Ghia and have swapped to a Mk2 Zetec Climate. I find the drivers & passenger flip down sun visors completely useless as there is now a giant space between the two, and the sun always seem to be just between them. The Mk1.5 had larger ones which stuck out into the middle. Does anyone have any suggestions, as i don't really want to start wearing a cap. Can these be replace with better ones easily? My only other thought was to somehow make the dotted black bit above the mirror more opaque. Cheers, Rob
  4. I had the 1.8 115 Mk1.5 TDCi Estate. I just picked up a brand new shiny 07 reg 1.6 109 Mk2 Estate (which comes with rear discs btw) The only noticeable difference is that on the old Mk 1.5, the turbo 'kicked', ie, you could put your foot down, and at about 3000 revs, you got a boot up your backside and got instant acceleration. On the 1.6 (and I test drove the 2.0 too) there was no noticeable 'kick'. I went for the extra 10mpg of the 1.6 over the 2.0 (and lower insurance). A 1.8 wasn't an option as I would have had a 6 week wait for one. Cheers, Rob Ps... and the Sports pack looks
