  1. No - I would have asked for it as part of the re-call. Btw is there something specific they need to know to be able to put it on?
  2. Mick - thats funny!!! They offered me 2!!!
  3. Thanks mate - just wanted to make sure it isnt the dealer Im planning on taking mine to.
  4. hahaha - will let u know how i get on!!!! Mats/tank of juice here I come.... Saying that tho I get Ford discount so Im sure theyll find an excuse!
  5. Maybe I should give them a blast with mine - should I say Geordie Mick recommeded them ? Try and get you £50 recommendation cheque?
  6. Does seem excessive - maybe contact VW and see if the ones off the passat are the same?
  7. You have the number handy?? Or are u on Msn??
  8. Unless your a Ford Marketing bloke then they are REALLY economical!!!!
  9. Yeah I tried Gordon Fords once in Wigan - had to leave before I belted him!!!
  10. Steamvalve - which dealer?? I'll make sure I don't go there to have it applied!
  11. haha I've noticed if u keep it under 2k revs in 6th its quite economical - shame ur only doing about 50-60
  12. Gavin - your local dealer has bettered it somehow but gave me same part-x!!!! I somehow would pay £12/month less than the other dealer!!!
  13. Dealers come back and offered me another £400 so thats £11,900 - you should have heard the spiel about them needing the numbers!!!!
  14. Should I get an ST TDCi Mondeo or the Titanium X TDCi (both with the 2.2 engine)? Titanium X has more toys but the ST is an ST! Help !!!!
  15. I called my Ford dealer enquiring about changing my C-Max for a ST TDCi Mondeo or a Titanium X Mondeo (Both with the new 2.2 TDCi motor) - he came back after a short while (the day after) using the excuse that a new deal needed to be downloaded to their computer... Anyway - they offered me £11,500 for my 8month old C-Max. I paid ~£14k for it 8 months back!!!! You should have heard the excuses he was making for the poor part-x... He even said that they have given me an extra 1K to do the deal this month (even though I told him it was for next month) All I can say is I hope you expect to
  16. Mine has it enabled and it works - but I still got the same letter this morning. The idea is that when you stop the cars engine, if you wait for >0.5 seconds before taking the keys out the EPB automatically applies. Whether they are removing this 0.5 by the fix I do not know. Either way mine works fine as it is.
  17. I get roughly 420 miles to a tank and each time I fill up it needs roughly 45 litres. I work that out as being 42MPG - still well below what Ford state. BTW It's done 8500 miles.
  18. hahah very true!!! Can't see the 1.8 coming anywhere near the 2.0 powa unit :)
  19. I like both - prefer the C-Max for comfort, normal Focus for fun but would love an RS :D
  20. Err I slightly disagree: Gross Vehicle Mass (KG) C-Max - 1855-1990 (dependant on model) Focus - 1570-1760 (dependant on model) Quite a bit of a difference.
  21. So am I having 5 previous Foci prior to the C-Max. The ghia spec suspension is too soft period to match a zetec/ST spec setup. 8cm is just a little extra weight? What u on about....Have you not noticed your higher in a C-Max? And who cares about the electric power steering - TBH i'd prefer the one on the ST, you get more feedback (although compared to the C-Max you'd need arms like Arnie Schwartzerburger) :)
  22. Lets think about it - the C-Max is ~8cm higher, heavier....therefore it dont take a rocket scientist to decide which is gonna handle better...
  23. After coming from an ST170 to a Ghia C-Max I can categorically say the Mk I Focus handles miles better - it should, it has a sports setup compared to a crusing one in the C-Max. The C-Max is miles better to drive crusing wise (motorway etc) but around any kind of twisties it would be no competition for an ST/normal Focus. Let round two begin when the MK II Foci are around!
