this window tinting law thing isnt exactly new, there was lots of talk about it when i bought my first focus (over 4 years ago now) ive had both cars tinted and never had any problems, a few of my mates on the other had have, however they have had mega dark front window tints, and they got made to remove them. also i work for a major and well known car insurance company, ive sold car insurance for years now and ive never had anyone tell me about them getting points for window tints. ive added lots of mobile phone endorsments onto peoples policys but never a window tinting one. end of t

it has been known for me to wear sunglasses when its dark :oops: my front windows are not dark, they have a light smoke on them, and i have them like that because i want them :wink:

ive had my windows tinted in my old focus zetec and in my new focus titanium and never had any problems with the fuzz over it! ill remove my front ones when i get stoped and get fined and points but not one day b4 it. some people may think thats a crazy statement to hit out with but thats just me!

my titanium is a 54 plate and its the new shape and as jo has pointed out mines was a ex demo car!

i cant get any good pics of mines they look like xenon lights, very slight blue tint, very suttle and not over powering quality of the light that comes from them is superb :wink:

there is a ebay shop selling them for £750 and espdesign sell them for about £1000 not to keen on the wolf kit (sorry foxyfocus) tho ur car does look mint :wink:

im seriously thinking about getting a ms design kit also only problem is i swore blind that im not modding this focus :lol: my car was standard for 2 months! first up was window tints if i get a ms design kit, id have to get a set of 18" rims and it would be wrong if it didnt get it lowered! need to save up!

it can be done, ive got all the stuff to get mines done here u need low to high output connector or something like that!

ive just fitted a set of philips blue vision h7 bulbs to mines, they look minted :D done 1 side first to compaire with the standard bulbs, new ones are much brighter with a slight blue tint to them and the standard ones look yellow! cant wait for night time to come so i can test them out on the dark backroads behind my house!

i think the computer is a gimmic to be honest. ive got a 1.6 ti-cvt (or what ever its called) and my computer said it was returning 33.3 last week i filled the tank up and reset all the counters and at the moment is reading something like 37.0 i know its an improvment, im not heavy footed and quite alot of my driving is motorway im sure ford say it should do something like 42mpg something, but not according to my trip computer thing!

might just do that!

was bored this morning so i went out for a drive, was heading home via the back roads to my house, i was about 2 minuets away from my house when the number 38 bus came driving down the road 1/4 of the bus is on my side of the road, anyways the bus driver doesnt move back into his lane forcing me to drive extreemly close to overgrown hedges, and low and behold the whole passangers side of my car is covered in scratches even the painted back on the passangers mirror casing is scratched. :cry: i will try polish it out, if not its gonna have to be a insurance job, £150xs but thankfully ive pr

ah ok, it makes more sense, since my 4 years NCB would have been Tuesday past, and i claimed last Friday, so i am guessing then, i would have been on 3 years, 361 days still..... :oops: :oops: Thx m8. thats it buddy, uv never had 4 years in the first place thats how its hurting the pocket, ur renewal price will be invalid due to change in surcimstances (sp). totaly feel sick for u buddy, 1. for having a bump in the car, 2. being 4 days away from 4 years ncb which you would have been able to protect. any other insurance related questions feel free to ask as i sell car insurance for a

the step back scale for insurance is 2 years for each fault claim. if youv got 3 years just now, and u make a claim for it you will go back to 1 year.
