  1. It's a ford acccessory part, I've lost the invoice for the part number but I will get a pic of it for you. :D
  2. These are stainless steel, when I ordered them I wanted CMAX on them but they just came as focus, oh well they look smart either way.
  3. Sorry haven't had chance to get the pic in there today, Work  I will try to get it in tomorrow, I also have a rubber cmax boot liner which has been invaluable already, I can put a pic of that in as well if anybody is interested.
  4. Yes the sony system is excellent, I'm well impressed with the sound quality. Have not got a user manual for it though, just the standard ford audio booklet, the radio code is correct though as I had to put it in when i disconnected the battery.
  5. Cheers for that, I have got some webspace sorted, just click on my www button on the post, I will put images in there.
  6. How can I post a pic, can't seem to fing an upload applet, or does it have to come from webspace? :?:
  7. Thats a lot of LEDs, maybe that many solves the low current draw as well.
  8. That is a pity i was thinking of doing that myself, thinking twice now.
  9. Managed to get hold of a pair of stainless steel scuff plates(Focus) for the front doors, they look excellent fitted and would be happy to post a pic if anybody is interested.
  10. Just ordered 2 White LED wedge bulbs for the side lights, Should look pretty good alongside the xenons. Geordie Mick, have you fitted these LED wedges into your headlamps yet and if so do they look good?
  11. I'm not sure if all fixes have been applied, i occasionally get the low fuel light coming on with half a tank but it goes out the minute that i start to drive, or about the hesitation in 1st, just seem to have a small flat spot for about 1 second but only when the engine is cold and it doesn't happen frequently. I'll have to see how that progresses. :?:
  12. Just checked this afternoon for the bulb holders, a quick trip to halfords for the wedge bulbs has now given me the footwell lights. :D :D
  13. Ok got you, not sure if I would let a belt go that long either.
  14. Are the 2.0 TDCi engines belt or chain driven? I had a Mondeo with the 125ps Duratec engine and that had a chain.
  15. I have never had the problem with the offside lamp not igniting but I was just wondering, would the problem have any bearing on build dates, as in after a certain date the problem would already be sorted from the factory. My Max is only 1 month old and is a factory built to my spec.
  16. What is the wiring update that you mentioned, is it the uprated earth or something else? Oh I didn't mention that I don't have autolamps, so it probably doesn't make a difference to the flicker of the HID's on startup anyway. They do flash when the Headlamp switch is set to off.
  17. You should try it with ESP on it just wont let go :D
  18. I use the Mr Muscle green window cleaner and it does a really good job on all the trim as well as the glass, it evaporates really quick and it doesn't leave a shine like some of those tacky instant valet sprays. Try it and see!! Or another one is Cif glass cleaner which is blue.
  19. I have posted this question on the ford galaxy forum and it seems that it is not just the c-max xenons that do it but BMWs and Galaxys also. However this is my 3rd vehicle with xenons and it is the only one that has ever had this quirk. Another answer was multiplex wiring and the voltage drop issue again, but I'm not sure if the c-max has a multiplex loom.
  20. Hello, I have removed the headlights, dead easy. Do as you did but you will need to wobble the headlamp housing around to get it out, just make sure the little plastic clips don't get caught up or the housing will feel as if it stuck. I had to do this to switch down the xenons for continental driving. 15 mins max
  21. Hi the xenons on my max flash when i start the car, anybody else had this happen. I have spoke to the dealer and apparently it is not a fault, just the lamps reacting to voltage drop when the car is started. Also after looking on the forum i also get the low fuel lamp coming on with half a tankful but only when the car has been parked on a slight incline, as soon as i drive off it goes out. Do i need to get to the dealer for new software or does it not apply to me? Apart from that I'm well happy with it, especially the Sony 6cd which has an excellent sound.
