  1. excellent - thanks a lot for all your help!!! looking forward to an odour-free summer now
  2. Hi all i've had my mk2 Titanium for about 15mth now and last couple of days been havin a prob with the aircon. everytime it turns on, a terrible odour comes out the vents for about 30 secs then goes away. Anyone know what the prob could be? Would the air-con still be under warranty in its second year? any advice would b appreciated. thx in advance
  3. Hi all I saw some cool pics of the vignale concept about a year ago and i know it's meant to be out this year but news has been quite thin on the ground lately. Does anyone have any new info about this - looks pretty nice as it goes!
  4. just my luck to get the old software on a new car eh
  5. Hey there It's pretty easy but cant remember if the ignition has to be on, off or just the navigation system on (with no key in the ignition). Anyway, keep your finger on the time at the top left and after about 5 or 6 secs it will go into a date and time section. Then just press the arrows to the time you want then click ok or confirm. (im not in front of my nav now so there may just be a "back" button and not a confirm button but just check first). That should then do it. I tried unsuccessfully originally to change the clock last year and was having the same problem as you but just try a
  6. Hi Ed The bluetooth pack that i have is the Advanced Pack without the cradle - i think that's the answer you want. I prefer it without the cradle as it takes up less room and you don't have to worry about forking out money for another cradle if you change your phone. the only downside of not having the premium is if you have the sat nav. The premium lets you see your phonebook and read and sent SMS messages through the screen - the advanced doesnt unfortunately.
  7. Shed, why don't you delay it for another 2 weeks and get one of the first 06-plate STs?
  8. If you're budget is flexible, then i really would opt for the Ford DVD-based Sat-Nav Unit. It's about a £2500 option but in my eyes really worth it. It's all touchscreen and can play mp3s through the front-loading cd player. It also shows the name of each track as well as the artist, album etc. The sat-nav is incredible and the unit also comes with DEATC (as well as a 6-disk changer under the passenger seat). Also, as the CD player is linked with the Sony, theres an AUX socket in the glovebox so u can use your ipod through the speakers. BRILLIANT check out this post from a while back w
  9. Can anyone help on this? I didn't know about the whole "lack of bulbs" in my 05 Titanium but would love to have them. Where are the bulbholders? Many thanks
  10. thx a lot TomTom - used the satnav 2day and it rerouted me - so happy about this. are there any other cool features of the satnav that i'm yet to learn about :?:
  11. I've got the DVD Navigation and never knew of this - how do I get this facility to work - can u post pics of how to do it or instructions? If the system can understand accidents and traffic then that would be superb!! Many thanks :D
  12. Sorry, I meant that the electric folding mirrors were available in Europe, not the DAB. My mistake :D
  13. Hi there does anyone know whether Ford plans to put DAB radio in as an option and also whether the electric folding mirrors option will be coming to the UK? Apparently u can get them in Europe but not in the uk many thanks wdb81
  14. Anyone have any release dates or more news on this yet?
  15. funnily enough it was ford that told me they're meant to veer ever so slightly. got it booked in on tuesday so will let u know the outcome. sometimes it's totally fine but other times it's really noticeable. I just hope the steering veers when i'm with the engineer otherwise i'll look a complete prat!!!
  16. Hi Focus2.0 Does your car keep turning slightly to the left too? Mine does when it breaks and even whilst driving sometimes. I know cars are meant to veer slightly to the left (in case u fall asleep at the wheel) but mine does it heavily. I get no humming noises but it is worrying when im driving. Mine is a MK2 3dr Titanium with 4500 miles (6mths old too). I am going for a drive with the engineer next week at some point so will know more then but our problem does sound similar. Has anyone else had a problem like this?
  17. you want to go to the Phone section and then click the menu button when you're there (top left)
  18. oh no. here's an idea then. delete it from your phone and delete it from the satnav (if it appeared at all). Then try the process again. It may be an idea to reboot your phone once you've deleted it so it can give a clear connection. try that and let me know. Wayne
  19. Neil I've got the Nokia 6600 and it's incredibly easy to pair with the car. Follow these steps: In the main menu, go to Connect Then go to Bluetooth In the bluetooth menu, scroll to the right to go to Paired Devices Click "Options" Click New Paired Device (although make sure the sat-nav system is actually on) Select "Ford Audio" Then it will ask for a passcode - either 0000 or 1234 (cant remember which one is right). It will then connect with the car - hey presto! Let me know if u have any probs Wayne
  20. hi neil - the access code (or "pairing code") is usually either 1234 or 0000 - try both and one should work for it. Unfortunately there wasnt a brochure available for the bluetooth when i got it so cant tell you more than that im afraid
  21. Hi all, thx for all your advice. just to keep u all updated, Ford ended up fixing the lock fully and i got it back last night. However.........upon receiving the car back i noticed it had strange "blotches" on the paintwork. Thinking this was just dirt and sap from the tree i thought i would wait until the weekend to wash it. On closer inspection today though it seems that it's actually the paintwork that is rubbing off. I will know over the weekend when i wash and polish it but for now it's made me incredibly angry  HOW THE HELL CAN THIS BE HAPPENING TO A CAR THAT'S LESS THAN 6 MT
  22. I've had bad consumption figures since i got my car in march. Done about 3500 miles in it but my town driving gets about 24mpg and motorway about 31 (again got the Ti-VCT). Mine's been checked by the garage too and they couldn't see anything. Starting to get quite disappointed actually!
  23. thanks focusghia44 All they said was that, as an example, if the dealership couldnt fit my lock on my door then they would contact a ford advisor to have a look. If the ford advisor couldnt do it then they would send down Ford's mechanical team. If that wasnt fixable, then i could have a case for a replacement - so many technicalities :( Also i'm actually registered as the first owner of the car not the broker - could that help in any way?
  24. Just to add, i've just spoken with Ford Customer Services who say that I do not qualify for the Committment Scheme as my faults are all "dealer-fixable". However they said they are going to try to compensate me somehow. I don't know if im happy or not with that :?
  25. Hi guys thanks a lot for this I'll let you know any updates as and when i get them. So far i have taken my car to another dealership who have given me a courtesy car and are fixing all the problems I gave them. Will still give Ford a shout though. Thanks a lot
