  1. The spare key on my old Ghia was not even remote so I guess some progress has been made by having two remotes now :)
  2. I don't know if this helps but the Volvo s40 T5 sport is in group 15.
  3. Tried the 3d configurator on a 1.6Ti-VCT Ghia and apart from it not showing rear disks with ESP option...thought it was brilliant 8) now I know what it looks like underneath.
  4. I'd go back to the dealer and ask, did he used a thermometer to check Climate Control temperatures:?:
  5. I agree the fan can be noisy sometimes but I found by pressing the air distibution buttons the noise level drops to acceptable.
  6. Had a look at the lock mech on the filler flap - just a plastic plunger. No sign of an electrical switch and therefore IMO the alarm will not go off :(
  7. What happens if I loose my flip key can I only replace it with a standard remote key :?:
  8. Hello and welcome to FFOC Mine works OK Do you have AUTO in the display window?
  9. No doubt you would be able to buy one as a spare part but cost is likely to be silly money :(
  10. It's a great feeling...lets hope it lasts :D
  11. I've notice that the fuel guage drops very quickly to start off then seems to slow down to reflect a more accurate reading. Try using the MPG and Miles to Empty figures to confirm overall fuel useage  Hope you get the windows sorted quickly.
  12. I thought about doing something along those lines but the screw fixing points stand quite proud and ends still don't go flush to the bodywork. The only solution to getting a smooth flow to the plate seems to be sticking the outer ends to the body :(
  13. I used double-sided sticky pads from Halfords £1.99 I think they are called "platefixers"
  14. Thanks for pointing out my over enthusiasm it does sound alarmist when read again  I'm a great believer in safety features and ESP is a prime example one I hope I will never need but comforting to know I have. Secondly, in the petrol engined cars only the 2.0L has disc all round and by choosing the ESP option the 1.6Ti-VCT gets rear discs too. Coming from a 2.0L MK1 Ghia IMO ESP represented a good value for money option.
  15. I agree TC alone won't help here but ESP aims to control the situation before understeer or oversteer take hold. Check this link: http://www.siliconsensing.com/index.asp ... es_abs.htm
  16. If you opt for the 1.6 Ti-VCT...then ESP is an absolute MUST as you get the benefit of Traction Control, Emergency Brake Assist and discs all round :)
  17. Shame I'm at the wrong end of the country and have leather already :(
  18. Welcome to FFOC...glad your enjoying your new car
  19. Not the best photos but the walnut trim looks quite tasteful and it is interchangeable with the Titanium.
  20. Forgot to mention another big plus...now when dropping the back seats you DONT have to remove the headrests :D
  21. IMO the Titanium seats are too narrow, I'm 5' 11 - weigh 79 Kgs and could not get "comfy" but others seem to manage OK.
  22. Yes I did... but when the communications options are choosen they have their own manual
