  1. You're not alone - exactly the same is happening to my windscreen at the moment. I've tried pushing it back down with edge of a very wider scraper but it just comes out again after the next journey. I've been meaning to get it booked into the dealership and get it fixed, but as it's a company leased car I'll probably wait until it's first service - if it was my car it would have been back to the dealer already! Keep us posted how you get on - I seem to have to provide my dealer with detailed instructions on how to fix any faults on the car!!
  2. I had exactly the same happen to me when I took delivery of mine back in July. It happened two days after I took delivery and left me calling the RAC out three times as the car went in to limp-home mode each time and coming up with 'Engine Systems Fault' in the instrument cluster display. The dealer had the car back for almost a month to diagnose it! Still, all sorted now, and 9,000 miles down the road not one single problem! Hope they sort yours soon
  3. Hi Andy, I had exactly the same problems and display message with my 2.0i TDCI Ghia when it was new in July. I only had the car a couple of days and it happened, called the RAC out and the moment they plugged their computer into the plug under the dash (before they even switched the computer on!) the car suddly ran ok again and no error codes were found. It then happened two days later just when I got onto a by-pass in the outside lane and the car went into limp home mode so crawled it into a lay-by. Phone the RAC, same happend again - only plug the computer in and before they turined the
  4. Browsing some foriegn ford internet sites, came across these interior pictures which show a different set of options - check out those wood-effect air vent surrounds! Hope you enjoy! Paul
  5. I've had my 2.0 TDCI Euro III Ghia for just over six weeks now and of those six weeks the dealer has had it back with them for a total of five weeks! I posted my problems a few weeks back at http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=84107 The car is now on it's third strike with Ford Commitment, if it goes again they have said they will replace it. Finally got the car back on Friday last week and touch wood so far it's been fine and is hopefully now sorted! In the mean time, I had been driving another 2.0 TDCI Ghia Estate and have put 2000 miles on it trouble free mechanically over fo
  6. I took delivery of a brand new 2.0 TDCI Focus Ghia a couple of weeks ago which keeps displaying 'Engine Systems Failure' or something like that in the message centre together with the red light next to it. I've had to call out the RAC on three occaisons now and the car is back at the dealer for the third time - in fact the dealer have now had the car for more time than I've actually had it! The problem occurs when the car is warming up, either on the driveway within 10-15 seconds of starting it, or within a mile of driving down the road. RAC plug their computer into the car, but before t
  7. Just had a thought. The Sony units use an the auxilary input socket in the glove box and this is used by pressing the 'AUX' button on the head unit. The new 5000/6000 units have this CDDJ button but on the latest Mondeo (LX & Zetec) the identical new style 6000 unit has this button labeled 'AUX'. Would it be possible to to the the glovebox auxilary socket, cable and plug for the back of the stereo from a Sony unit, and would that work by plugging it in into the 5000/6000 unit? If anybody has access to a technical diagram and images of the connector used to plug into the back of th
  8. Dear all, About to take delivery of a 2.0 TDCI Ghia as a company car and it's fitted with the standard 6000CD stereo (Fleet manager is so stingy - the only option they would let me have was metallic paint!). The options list doesn't say you can attach a CD changer to this particular unit, but it does have a CDDJ button on the top-left of the unit. My understanding is that these new units fitted in the Focus II and C-max use a different connector to the previous 5000,6000 and 7000 units. Anybody know where I can get an aftermarket CD changer to fit this unit (other than Ford who charge
