  1. Yeah , like I say that heated screen switch keeps getting pressed in the mornings. Just been to get some screenwash from hellfrauds and heard two customers asking if there is any left before I had a chance to look .... no. My guess now is the jets are unfrozen but the lines and bottle are not. I do have a car ice scraper with a 12v heated element the same as this Ebay item which I have never used  If I were to rip the element out of it,I could mould it into the washer bottle near the pump.. on a relay in line with the heated feed,or on it's own switch. Did I read somewhere
  2. I'm a * * * * They are already fitted!!! And my heated f/screen switch gets hit as soon as the timer switches it off, about 4 or 5 times. I was last using a heavy mix of Tesco Concentrated screenwash, I've just thrown the empty bottle so don't know how low it was meant to stay unfrozen. This week it's been mostly -1 to -2 hitting -5 on wednesday (I'm rural and on the edge of a village) I would have at least expected to see melted ice on the bonnet around the washer jets :?: It's too cold to go out testing for a live feed, so I'm off to go and get some of that pink stuff from Hal
  3. Ok, The wife has nicked the car to go do some girly sales shopping. As soon as she's back I'll have a physical look, If they are already fitted then they work C*@P  Sending PM now Thanks :D
  4. Crazy, I hav'nt even looked.. :D I pulled apart the soundproofing of two titaniums Foci and a C-max yesterday, I did'nt even think to have a look at my own
  5. Thanks for that RB2004, Would I need a new heated front screen switch or use my existing one? Are they different?
  6. I'm going to try and fit heated washer jets, I know I'll need the heated jets and a bonnet wiring loom. Does any one know of any other parts I may need before I ask Tezza for prices? Or has anyone done this before? :?:
  7. Yes, my traction control light has been on and working a lot, however when throwing the car into a sideways skid in the snow, the light was not coming on.
  8. I've been playing around in mine a little :) NO not on public roads, mostly on a snow covered runway in leicester today :D I could not get the ESP and warning symbol to cut in on the snow (or not that I could feel) when getting sideways, not any faster than 40mph. I have had it cut in before when driving in wet conditions and slipping sideways unintentionally on a bend and clearly felt it doing the job with the symbol flashing. The traction control feels different on my Focus to any other grab/spin-grab/spin traction control where I plant the throttle hard and it seems to gently feel and
  9. No, the water freezes the pump still. No sound or battery power dip, it's just like it's not working.
  10. PM sent :) It seems your right, Ford charge as an extra to enable an already fitted option!! money for nothing?
  11. Completely normal at the moment, mine have taken a couple of hours to thaw out every morning. This morning I couldn't face another mile without good vision,so ran my bottle empty last night, then this morning before setting of I put a high concentrate of screenwash in added by 1 kettle full of boiling water to the top,and front and rear washers worked straight away :D I've probably used over half a bottle today so will try again tomorrow. There is a thread here on a level warning indicator - Washer level thread Does anyone know if heated washer jets were ever an option on a mk2? I'm sure
  12. Just to clarify, I have the level 2 with small red screen? So would it be possible using this cluster?
  13. I have now checked about 20 Foci and they appear to be fitted from 09 on? I'm not sure why but I also noticed 2 of the 8 seat rail plastic end caps (front inners) are not fitted to any facelift MK2's leaving a sharpish edge. ?(got me some  ) Anyway I finally ordered a set from my local Ford today and with 1st Jan 2010 VAT increase the prices are now 1539801 - O/S moulding (Right) - £10.11 1539802 - N/S moulding (Left) - £9.92
  14. Sensors inside the tyres? Found this Also would it need a reciever for these sensors ? :?:
  15. While changing my 2nd headlight bulb in two weeks :? I noticed these spare plugs on the nearside headlight loom and chassis leg :) With N/S headlight unit lifted out. Small one a few inches down the headlight loom, possibly one wire?. Multiple wires on N/S chassis leg. I hav'nt looked at the offside yet but would guess it will have the same? Does anyone know what they're for? Im guessing the large one on the leg is for headlight washers and the smaller one to do with Xenons? sorry for the blurred pictures - it was cold
  16. Not a silly question. My original light surround was held in by 2 screws fitted vertically going into factory fit spring clips inserted into the front roof chassis and a metal retaining ring that sits in the roof lining, the exact same size as the rooflining hole. The second hand one I have fitted (believe to be from a MK3 Mondeo) did not have any brackets for screws or retaining ring! however did have a slot one end to take the roof lining and I used 2 self tapping screws horizontal at the other end. I have however since seen the C-max ones with screw brackets/large metal retaining ring
  17. I have seen 100 + 08-09 models at auction and not noticed these on any. Thanks for the pics :D I think they're gonna come in very handy :D
  18. Don't all MK2's come with air conditioning? The air conditioning is also a dehumidifier taking moisture out of the air and off the glass. 1,You must have the blower direction set to windscreen, the air con should come on automatically when you select windscreen - if not 2,Turn on the air conditioning. 3,The air recirculation (recirc) button needs to be off. 4,Set the blower speed to full. The temperature selected does not matter. You should be able to clear all 8 windows completely in seconds. HTH :)
  19. Hi, the sunglasses holder on the A post was roughly £20 from Ford, there is a how to sunglasses here which says about £15 from Tezza. The central roof lining one was an Ebay purchase from THIS SELLER for £25. The rear roof lining light is on the list to do but I am yet undecided on going for a Ford one or one from another marque as they are mostly universal to any roof lining, I've seen some nice ones on 7 series BMW's and also some larger ones people carriers or maybe C post mounted ones or hidden LED's??? :?: suggestions. Do you have any pics or part numbers of the Kuga socket? I r

  21. Any one got a pic of these mouldings? My boot is my office and I do all my work from there daily. Water is always getting on to my printer paper resulting in several chewed up sheets and a printer stripdown/rebuild :x Are they visable on the vehicle when the boot is shut? The wind noise from the N/S I also get but only when the wife is there, along with a droning/whining noise :D
  22. My car has just been into the local Ford stealer for it's 3rd/37.5k service. They inform me my discs and pads front AND REAR are completely worn out  (I will check in daylight ) The front pads and maybe discs I can almost accept at this mileage but rears as well? What mileage did your MK2 have any work done to front or rear brakes? :?:
  23. There are perfomance brake pads availabe RED DOT for example that boast "of low brake dust on alloy wheels."
