They told me the cars a prototype for a new 4x4 Ford is bringing out (could it be the new iosis X Crossover) and the C-Max is only running gear for it, and will not go into production, shame. How do you people drive and abuse your C-Max's over there in the UK Have a 05 1.6tdci, 8.000 km's on the clock, just drove 870 km.s from Rovaniemi on the Arctic Circle(Finland) to Helsinki in the south of Finland, on winter studded tyres, -5 C, average speed 80-100 kms. FUEL 4.2 l/100km or 67.26 MPG, beat that !!!!!

I had a 2005 1.8 over here in Finland with exactly the same problem, it's a Ford dealership fix over here, something to do with the front shock tightner ??? Ford know all about it cheers

I got recall letter today in Finland, I think they should recall the WHOLE car! Nothing but problems from the day I bought it , very disapointed, new A/C, the whole computer been changed 2 times, the dashboard taken out, new dials, creaks and squeaks like an old Land Rover, got it back today from the dealers, drove about 2 miles and now there is this wierd clonking sound coming from the clutch and rear-end when I change gear, it never ends, think I'll change to a Mondeo Estate after one of the mechanics said to me on his tea-break that C-Max's ar nothing but problem's compared to Mondeo's! Hi gang! I'm a Scot living in Finland (tell me about it) and I bought a brand new C-Max 1.8 (Machine Silver) in March 2005, it was midwinter when I bought the car and a dark gloomy time up here in the north, so I did'nt notice any faults when I collected the car. But now its 24 hours of sunshine and BIG PROBLEMS!! All my neighbours started asking when did you have your car re-painted!!! The rear of the car, doors, bumpers are all different shades, has anyone else had this problem, what kind of compensation should I ask for, it looks like a old secondhand crashed C-Max, otherwise its the best c
