I had my C-max serviced on 20k....was told the brakes were fine all-round.....but then on 25k the rear brakes were rubbing,booked it in and was told it needed rear discs and pads as they were finished!!!!! I commented that i had it serviced on 20k,they cut me a deal as i wasnt prepared to pay for discs,i just paid for pads,my total bill was approx £80... Seriously when i had it serviced i commented to my wife who drives the C-max that they hadnt even had the wheels off to check the brakes(i know this because there was NO finger marks on the wheels at all).....they also said its a fine line a

Hi thanks for that...i will give it a try My c-max has the 17inch machined polished alloys,sat-nav,dual climate,privacy glass,roof mounted dvd,6disc changer, I never got a manual for the travel-pilot ex :cry:

Hi my c-max is on 04 plate,so didnt cost me a penny,still havent fixed the km/miles saga,the head unit is slightly different to the original,some of the buttons are now silver in colour,i also phoned my dealer and they said they couldnt tell me how to do it over the phone,i thought hmm when you fitted it why didnt you do the job properly in the beginning....now i have to drive all the way over to get it sorted..

Ok i will give it a try...if i have no luck then back to Ford with it....they can sort it out :lol:

Hmm.......im not sure you can do that on the travel pilot ex... The voice activation is in english......could you explain a little further.....

Hi....I had to have my head unit replaced as the navigation cd kept jamming and also stating cd error....... My question is.....How do i change the setting from km to miles and yards as its really annoying me with the kilometres calculating the route distance....as i suspected the audio manual doesnt tell you how to do it and i have tried the navigation settings...... Can anybody help? Kind Regards

What sort of mileage would you expect from the rear pads ......as my tdci has a rubbing noise on the rears...and i have only done 25k...... when i looked through the wheel with a torch there didnt seem much left...... am i expecting too much....... I had the vehicle serviced at ford on 20k and on the inspection sheet they ticked the green box which claims 4mm+ for the brakes.....

Hi the missus went and had the windscreen changed on the max,heated version,rain sensor on dash etc etc, ok then this is the problem.......since the max has returned the remote locking doesn't work, the keyfob does nothing,obviously you can use the key to open and close the vehicle but as im sure your'e aware the ignition has to be switched on within bout 10 secs or the alarm goes off.......any ideas on what has happened? there has been suggestions that the loom below the windscreen area could have been damaged......then somebody said if that had happened then the dash wouldnt work.... Does th

Hi guys i have had a service at a ford dealer,cost me lots of money,well i thought i would dip the oil.....is it still meant to be black because mine is?whenever ive changed the oil its always been clearish colour....is it different on diesels? am i to be concerned??? Kind Regards

Hi i have noticed since my c-max has come back from a service and ecu software upgrade(to solve the stuttering)i have gone out to the c-max and all the indicators are flashing,this will stop when the double remote is pressed,unlocked and locked,its happened about 4 times, any ideas,the alarm horn is not activated when the flashers are going berserk Kind Regards

oh i didnt realise that but when you say the deletion of the courtesy lights, i still have courtesy lights in mine with the roof-mounted dvd system. Regards

when i bought my c-max i just decided to go the whole hog :mrgreen: and i bought the roof mounted dvd system to keep the kids happy when on long journeys, i must admit to being of the opinion of staying with the ford options rather than trying to get things to fit :fadein:
