  1. Just fancy a quick cheap mod - where can I pick up the right bulbs for the rear indicators? Preferably a direct link if possible :)
  2. Mine doesnt stick out beyond the bumper itself. Once you have done away with the original ford mounting bracket, you can position it just as you like it. Mine was a lucky ebay find. :)
  3. Nothing more needed than a good hacksaw. Chop the pipe immediately behind the hanging bracket and away to go.
  4. Nice indeed.....makes me wonder whether I should hold out for hellas after all :)
  5. I may have my MS designs trim up for grabs in the near future. Just for your consideration of course!
  6. Search on 'Focus II' on www.ebay.de, and good things will happen :)
  7. Hmmm....cant dsay I have noticed it one mine :(
  8. Well she is back and all sorted. I was a little stunned by the cause to say the least. The service manager told me there have seen a few of these cases. Basically the washer jets do not make a watertight seal against the bonnet. As such water often makes its way though to the engine overtime and builds up around the plugs. Subsequently sparks arc and the engine misfires. !?! For something which cost them new leads, plugs, sealant and labour...I'd have expected this to have been a recall some time ago. On the plus side I got all my remaining plastics for coding, so not a completely neg
  9. Bit more an update - managed to speak to one of the techies at the dealership, and he is pretty certain its the coil pack, so hopefully easy to sort :)
  10. Bit of an update. Driving home last night, she was actually misfiring quite noticeably. At one point I attempted to move round a praked car at low revs in second....and it actually backfired :( She is booked in this afternoon. I had all the plugs out last night and just did a visual check for anything obvious, and she is still not right. Also a bit alarmed when I was just joining the motorway this morning and the engine warning light starts flashing :( Currently trying to find out if it is safe for me to drive, else I'll get the RAC to tow it back to the dealer. Wish me luck :)
  11. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but my 05 Sport is not well. Noticed this morning that it was a bit 'jerky' when accelerating. Was only a short run this morning, so just taken it out for a spin lunchtime and its definitely unwell. Only way I can describe it is that if I put my foot down in second, it accelerates but seems to cough and splutter, Will probably try dropping the stock air filter back in tonight just in case, but any thoughts would be most welcomed :(
  12. Yes sorry, works out at 25% ish off, which is probably about right. Perhaps next month :)
  13. Called in to Ford Parts today and asked them for a price for a set of eibach springs for my 55 plate Focus Sport. With employees discount they quoted £91 + VAT. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I'm sure they are only priced at £115 ish with european parts. Could somebody clarify this?
  14. Personally I'd favour the hellas :)
  15. Not to hand - but I'm sure I can sort one out for you
  16. Debagged or debadged? :) I debadged mine a few weeks ago. No more difficult than lifting the lettering away with a handy finger nail and the polishing to clear up the residue.
  17. I noticed this after not using the aircon for a while (i.e. during the winter), though this cleared after a spell. Would describe it as similar to a smell of dampness.
  18. I very much doubt it would be rocket science to install the holders, bulbs and associated wiring yourself. Torquesteer did mention they were going to do a kit at some point.
  19. hmmmm......so its ST pedals then I guess. Assuming nobody can argue with fords own efforts.
  20. As titled - has anyone replaced their pedal covers. if so - where, how much, etc.... Picked up a cheap set that require me to drill my existing pedals. Seems to be a distinct lack of mounting surface on each pedal :(
  21. Personally other than the passenger side wheel liner issue, I'm pleased with mine. 3000 miles in and the engine has loosened up nicely, though does require a few extra revs at gear changes. Colour match for me is fine, but Sea grey, whilst being a bit of a * * * * to keep looking clean, doesnt appear to show any differences so obviously. As for the car being a four letter expletive based on the problems highlighted on the forum.....rubbish! FFOC members represent a small minority of focus owners, and naturally being dedicated to one particular vehicle, are going to highlight certain issues.
  22. Quick question - I should be able to get some eibachs at a discount through ford parts. Question is - is my warranty $crewed if I get the springs fitted by someone other than ford themselves? Sure I can get the work done cheaper than dealership prices.
