What the type rrrrrrrrrrrrr......jim lad...........i'll get my coat. :shock: The new type R is not due for release until early 2007.....not sure when/if the rumoured uber type rr will be likely. Until something like that is more definite or Focus win the ralleying or something like that, I don't think we will see the RS.....certainly don't expect it this year (but very happy to be proved wrong on that one). Perhaps it will be a replacement for the orange?

Trying to get to grips with the Denso SatNav in my focus and the Ford manual is not the best. As such I have a few questions: 1) It looks as if the firmware on these units is not updated that often (mine has Dec/2004 installed), if any updates are released, are these done automatically at the next service interval or would you have to request them specifically......due to a problem or the like? 2) DRG (Dynamic Route Guidence) - I assume this is related to the TMC functionality, but how is it supposed to work? I was hoping that it would display a warning of a potential problem on my curren

Errr do you mean the manual? If so the latest is CG3504en 11/2004. If you mean the BT kit, then this is a factory fit option so you will need to go for an aftermarket one if your car has already arrived.

I have not updated the main post as yet, but it seems that people are still receiving ST's without the rear passenger roof light, vanity mirror lights and footwell lights (with the bulbs fitted). There does not seem to be any logic to this (no change there then) so if any of you have received your car with all three, can you confirm if you also had the visibility pack (auto lights, wipers and dimming rear view mirro) fitted? My ST2 had all three fitted and this is why I wonder if it is linked to the vis pack.

It does nothing unless you have a cd autochanger fitted.

Hi, Has anyone bought and collected a Mk2 Focus with Bluetooth (either advanced or premium) this year? If so could you have a look at the bluetooth manual and provide me with the code and following date. I am trying to find out what the latest revision is as my car did not come with one. The code can be found inside the front cover at the bottom. It will read something like CG3504en followed by a date in the format of mm/yyyy. Cheers

Cheers TT70, Looks like I have the latest disc then. Was having a play with the BT functionality and seems ok but the 2004 manual does not seem correct. Does anyone have this kit fitted and if so what is the code on the inside cover of your manual?

Hehe whilst I am requesting information does anyone know the order code for the bluetooth manual? Mine came with a very old 08/2004 copy, which actually came out of the dealer's drawer as no manuals came with my car. My code is CG3504en 08/2004. Out of interest has the BT functionality changed since this version? I.e. new commands and the like?

Hi, Just collected my ST with DVD SatNav and wondered if the supplied disc is the latest one? I have been provided with the 2005-2006 disc: Ford Part - 5S7T 10E898 AD Denso Part - 464210-5451 FINIS Code - 1435099 Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ford have just phoned me back to confirm that the Mk2 Focus does not have this feature in any current model (including the ST). Whether it will be made available at a later date is unknown. As such no dealer will be able to make a change that will enable this. I suppose as the Mk2 is not sold in America yet we will not see this until then. Having said all this, I am sure I read somewhere that someone test drove an ST which had this feature so if it was you then please can you post up with details of the dealer so we can find out what they did. I guess it was some sort of additional alarm

As tomtom confirmed, the premium kit is the advanced kit (including bluetooth/voice activated functionality) with the wiring to a cradle point and external aerial of some type. When your car arrives you then just need the specific cradle for your phone.....which I think is an extra cost chargable by your dealer. If you are business user who is always on your phone, in a poor reception area and need your 12v socket for some other device then go for the premium. If you are an occasional phone user and have a mobile with bluetooth then the advanced should do you.

If there had been an Focus ST diesel ...... or even the Golf GTD then I would probably have a different car now......having said that my ST sounds great and that is one thing you don't get with diesels.....especially on start up ;)

Collected my ST2 with SatNav on Tuesday and it came with no DVD for the satnav, no manuals for the satnav, climate and bluetooth and they tried fitting standard mats over the premiums. DVD Disk has now arrived but still no manuals.....luckily they have found a manual in someones drawer so are going to send that. Hope it is the right one.

If the Golf GTD appears and takes off then Ford will release an ST TDCI. But nothing official yet......time will tell I suppose

ST is available with auto wipers/lights and rear view mirror (visibility pack) although not standard like the Ghia. I have had a look at the brochure and it does seem you have an either / or choice on all models. Either normal w/s, heated windscreen or the solar reflective glass. No details about these being linked to the visibility options. Definitely speak to your dealer and have this confirmed before your car is built !!

I don't mean to be funny but the windscreen fitted to the ghia should be no different to that fitted to the ST and as such if the solar reflective windscreen is not available with heated elements then if you have ordered a ghia with the solar reflective screen then you will probably not get this either (regardless of whether the basic ghia spec includes this). I would get onto your dealer......or better still the Ford customer helpline to get a definitive decision. If there is such a thing as a solar reflective windscreen with the heating elements then this should be available for the ST, Ghia

Aaah ok. Just need the codes/settings that need checking for this feature then. My dealer did connect this to my car but could not find the setting.....either it is not there or the option is hidden somewhere within the sub menus.

It is supposed to be an accent lighting when it is completely dark. Anything too bright would be illegal as you are not supposed to drive with interior lighting on. I am not sure how noticable it is in cities with lots of street lights.

Thanks mate. The car is fantastic and is just what I wanted it to be. No major probs yet although their DVD SatNav came with CD disks !! and I am currently waiting for this to be sent to me. Good job I have not yet thrown out my old paper based system ;) On your CDR front, before you through your old one away, check the manufacturer site as there may be a firmware update which will provide you with this functionality. If not then the latest Sony, Pioneer offerings are cheap and excellent for the job.

Lol I collected a new ST yesterday and had the very same chat with the dealer. I said surely as it is their job and their car, they should know everything about Ford vehicles. I asked if it wasn't a bit embarrassing for a customer to know far more about their cars then them? He tried to blame Ford training but I reminded him that the dealerships are independant companies so it is up to them to get their staff up to scratch......don't think it will do any good though ;) On the MP3 front I have just purchased some new 900mb 99minute CD's. You need a fairly modern cd burner and a later version

Just picked up my ST2 3dr with red interior. Looks fantastic !! Satnav looks great too....although doesn't actually work as no disc provided :? They have ordered me one lol

What is this WDS and can anyone give more technical info as I need to pass this onto my dealer. cheers
