  1. Mine does that aswell. I asked them to look at it when I took it in for a service, they heard the sound but didn't know what it was and said "Let it develope." I hate it when they say that! :?
  2. Hello again, It turned out that a pipe had ruptured and all the fluid leaked out. So they changed that and the pump aswell. All is well again :D
  3. Hi all, On monday afternoon my power steering system suddenly lost all the hydraulic fluid. I was on my way to work so drove it straight into my local dealer where it's been since. They've had to order a couple of parts for it and hopefully i'm picking it up this afternoon. Have there been any problems reported as far as power steering is concerned? I'm hoping it's a one off problem because my steering does probably get more use than most being a driving instructor and practicing manouevres with lots of full lock steering. This is my first ford after owning 4 Fiats, the last 2 having a catalog
  4. Hello mjd, I made my comment in a light hearted way. I know exactly what you mean about the gear changes. I had a 1.6 Fiat Stilo before getting me Focus and the two cars are completely differant to drive. and it took a while to get used to, the Fiat engine and gearbox were very good but let down by the rest of the car. The Focus on the other hand has the whole package. In my opinion anyway.
  5. Thankyou Robbins, It's funny you saying that because when i picked the car up i drove out of the garage straight into rush hour traffic. Anyway i took the car out for a blast this afternoon accelerating strongly through all the gears and it does seem better. It's been a while since i've given it a good drive, I use the car for my job as a driving instructor so it tends to trundle around the town most of the time but it's nice to take advantage of the cars wonderful drive characteristics. In response to mjd, Yes i can drive thankyou. :)
  6. All pretty hidious in my opinion, unless you've got a 20 year old whizzpopper nova a sovreign ring and a chav cap! :?
  7. Hi all. About three weeks ago I took my 1.6 zetec climate in for it,s second service. After geting it back it didn't feel quite the same, a little hesitant and jerky with not as much pull particularly in third gear. I know there is a lot of talk on here about the 1.6 100ps not being very quick, but i've allways found it keen to pull in third and forth gear even at fairly low revs but it wont any more. And it seems to be getting worse! I plan to ring the garage on monday morning and get it back in for them to look at. I'd be grateful for any ideas or possible reasons for the loss in power, I th
  8. hello everybody. does anyone have any idea how to remove the door panels on the Focus 2? I want to upgrade the speakers in the doors, but can't see any screws or anything. The part with the speaker grill on looks like a seperate part, but i don't wanna force anything in case i break it! Thankyou in advance. Pete.
  9. Hello all. My car will soon be needing it's second service and i was wondering how much I can expect to pay? My 1.6 zetec climate had nearly 13,000 miles on it when i got it in December so it'd been serviced already. I used to drive a Fiat Stilo before making the wise desision to buy a Focus and a service for that was around £250. Will it be cheaper? :) 2005 1.6 zetec climate, 3 door. Aquarius blue (with footwell lights!)
  10. Hi all, I had the creaking on my 1.6 zetec climate. When i took my car into the dealers they knew exactly what the problem was, steering track rod ends. I had to wait two weeks for the parts to arrive, apparently the parts have been slightly modified. Anyway, after fitting it's been fine. I was so pleased aswell after just swapping brands from a Fiat Stilo that had the crappest suspension i've ever experienced on a car. :)
