  1. Ben i get a rattle too. Sounds like its coming from my rear windows! :?
  2. Martin...if there's no room then there's not alot you can do. I had this trouble with my mark 2 Focus. I ended up just getting a universal shielded induction kit. I then went for a carbon fibre induction kit that looked alot like a BMC kit. This really is the only thing you can do. By getting a filter that's shielded you reduce the amount of heatsoak that will affect the filter and it's performance. Also, the 2009 Foci come with the standard paper filter already housed inside the air box. Now...correct me if i'm wrong...but you should be able to fit the air box over your K&N too...so by
  3. Hmmm...it might just be it compressing i suppose...but i've not heard this in any other of my cars that i've had! :? It doesn't matter if i have the windows down or up...i still hear it! :?
  4. Has anyone fitted LED indicators into their side repeaters on their mirrors? Was this an easy job? Which bulb did you use? Cheers.
  5. Alright so....not long ago i bought some Osram Nightbreakers because i'd read really good reviews about them. Whilst they are brighter than standard lights...and they are slightly whiter.....does anyone know of a bulb that produces a nice crisp white light? The Osram's are still slightly standard looking and i'd just like something that doesn't look so standard, but that also gives me a good powerful beam. Also, is it possible to alter your beam tracking when changing a bulb? I'm not sure if my beam angles are correct and this could've happened when i changed my standard H7's to the Osrams!
  6. Guys, Has anyone noticed that their suspension is really creaky on the mk 2.5? I notice it when i'm going over speed bumps. Anyone know what causes this and maybe what might stop it from creaking? Cheers Craig.
  7. Cheers mate. Thanks for taking the time to write all that! lol! It does sound very tricky...so when i can be bothered i will have a go at it! lol!
  8. Guys, This has been touched on in a previous post...but can anyone give me a step by step walk through on how to put new sidelights in? From what i read in the earlier post...it's a bit of a git to fit them? Any pics people may have to help illustrate this would be great too! Cheers.
  9. Brad...yeah i know that now! Haha! The mechanic i usually get to do all my work wasn't in...and i really wanted it on quick...so i had a bash at it myself and thats where it got me! Haha!
  10. When i took my grill off my mark 2....everything seemed fine. I fitted the new one and it looked great...then...disaster struck! I couldn't open my bonnet again as the spring mechanism that flips the Ford badge on the front hadn't gone back together properly. I had to take mine to Ford and get them to fix it. They did say that they would have to smash the new grill in order to repair it. It turned out that they didnt smash the grill afterall so i was lucky in that respect. From my experience...i'd say either take it to Ford and have them fit it...or if you have an experienced mechanic aro
  11. Yeah...if you could get some pics up for me that would be great! Cheers! :D
  12. The problem isn't getting them...or fitting them...it's how they fit. I don't want to drill or anything into the existing pedal. I could do with some that just slide over the existing ones.
  13. So do they just slide over the existing pedals? I might get them for my mk 2.5 Titanium! :)
  14. So is there any drilling required or do they literally just slide over the original pedals?
  15. Guys, Does anyone know if you can get any pedal covers for the mk 2.5? Im sure i've heard that these just slide over your existing pedals but i'm not sure: http://www.ford-shop.com/acatalog/Ford_ ... ories.html Cheers.
  16. Jeff, in my "boy racer" days when i had my Clio...i was running Blue neon's inside the car. I had a few...and i bought a 4 way adapter and it was fine. Granted...the fridge and the kids DVD player might require more power...but i think you should be fine with an adapter.
  17. Well i've got some nice White LED's that were in my mark 2 as sidelights so i may put those in.
  18. Yeah but i'm not too bothered about gaining performance wise. The sound is all i'm after really. I'm not going to touch the bodywork. I think it looks ace as it is!
  19. Guys, Which filter do you think i should get out of the above? Which do we think is best? The Raid HP one i can get from European Parts and isn't very expensive. The K&N is alot more expensive but i don't think necessarily reflects quality. I know K&N are a great filter but are you paying for quality or the brand name? Can of worms this one i know...sorry! :?
  20. Hmmm...mine doesn't seem to want to budge and i'm scared i might break it. I'll have another go tomorrow.
  21. Thanks for all your comments and advice guys...i appreciate it. Something else. Can someone tell me how the centre armrest slides? Thanks.
  22. Ok so my mk 2.5 has the footwell lights. How does one remove these? Are they simply pull out and push in like the sidelights?
  23. I'm not really too bothered about the stereo. They're only very light scratches and can only be seen if the light hits it right. I've not heard the clunk noise on full lock again to be honest. I'm just going to leave things now as i can't be doing with the hassle of it all and i do really like the car!
  24. Well...the salesman sync'd my trip computer with the mileage of my car last night and all appears to be ok now. The trip is now in time with the mileage. As for the clunk sound i hear when i accelerate on full lock...he told me he has experienced the same thing in his demo cars. He said all you need to do is come off the accelerator slightly...but that every car he's been in it has done it...so i guess it's normal! As for the light scratches on the CD player...he said they could replace it but that they would make a mess of my dashboard. Apparantely...the plastic around the stereo has to c
