Where did u get em from dennis?

I'm beginning to think it might just be me. I reset my trip today and i was on 132 miles....i'd gone only 1.5 miles or something and it jumped to 133 miles...but then i thought...well the car senses it has done a mile...it's just the trip that has been reset...so the car could've done half a mile and then done another half mile and so the mileage went up...if that makes any sense? I dunno if it's got a problem or not now! :?

Yeah...they're a bit crap in that respect. They should make it scratch proof or something! Taking car in at 5pm today so i will let you guys know what they say.

it's reading miles now. I did change it from kilometers. The salesman has told me to take the car back and they can work through the "list" of what i think is wrong with it! Lol!

Thanks for the advice Zetec. I've e-mailed the salesman so i should hopefully have a response at some point today. Oh yeah thats another thing...why don't you get a cigarette lighter? Not that i'm going to use it...because i don't smoke. I might change the headlight and sidelight bulbs but i won't be doing anything just yet. I think it's gorgeous as standard and i'm throughly enjoying driving it as standard! :)

Ben, the 1.6 is actually ok. It pulls well in 4th and 5th and standing acceleration can also be good so generally...quite pleased. There are however a few niggly things. 1. Apparantely i've done 70 miles already! I think there might be something wrong with my cars computer as when i was out and about today...i happened to look at my screen and it said i'd done 59 miles. I went about 200/300 yards down the road and it suddenly said i'd done 61 miles!!! How 200 yards is translated into 2 miles i've got no idea! Has anyone else noticed this?? 2. There appears to be scratches on the surface

Ok guys here's some interior shots that i've just taken. Hope ya like! :lol: The car had 16 miles on it when i picked it up yesterday afternoon....now look: HAHA!!!!! One more exterior pic: The car has Goodyear Eagle tyres on the 17" rims aswell! I was surprised by the Goodyear's! Thought they might have just stuck the usual Michelin Pilot Primacy's on it!

Also...tell him that the Focus is the best car in it's class...which is the truth! The Focus has won car of the year many years on the run and is the UK's biggest selling car! It wins hands down against it's rivals in all aspects! I had this decision to make before i ordered my new mk 2.5....but i just decided that i knew what the Focus was like (having a mk 2 at the time) and i knew it was a good car and that it was the best in it's class....so at the end of the day...why would i not go for the best?? :lol:

Well...the car is just brilliant! I'm over the moon with it! The interior quality is excellent! I love how bright, clear and crisp the dash is at night time! Really nice! I have noticed one little thing though. This may be normal...they all might do this, but...when i put the wheel on full lock and start accelerating away...i feel a knock that comes from somewhere. Any ideas what this could be? I will get some pics of the interior up as soon as i can. As it stands gyys....i can't see myself modifying this car in any way shape or form! I'm really pleased with how it looks already! :lol: :

A downpoint on getting an Astra is the dealer support. I was looking at getting the Astra SRi before i ordered my new Focus and i was strongly advised not to go whizzpopper. Not really listening to them...i went down to my local Evans Halshaw whizzpopper dealership and my experience there re-inforced what i was advised! Let me put it this way....i'm still waiting for a callback to book a testdrive!!! They didnt really care if they made a sale or not, and the salesman's choice of language wasn't very "professional" either!

I spy my car!!!! A day earlier than the salesman said aswell! :lol: :lol: :lol: Everything looks ok with it and my Zetec has now been de-modified so it's all good to go! :)

Is there any other holes for any other keys? I found in my mark 2 that the CD player was a real b!tch to remove until i had all 4 keys in and then it just slid out! Sounds like Ford haven't made the stereo removal any easier in the 2.5!

I've FINALLY managed to get it off! It took forever! I got it off by getting some of the sticker up and then peeling it very slowly. I've used some stuff that's called Sticky Stuff Remover...yes...it really IS called that! It's great stuff! There's no trace of any decals on my car now! :lol:

On the new models...everything but the Studio comes with air con as standard. I think the specs changed when they brought out the 2.5.

I've just been told by the salesman that it will be on site on Thursday so i'll try and get some sneeky pics then! :lol:

To be fair though...there's not much difference between the Zetec and the Style in terms of interior. I have the brochure infront of me. It also sounds like his dad isn't all that bothered about the kind of things we'd be bothered about.

Im taking my FFOC stickers off but i'll be getting some more for my new car.

Guys, Can anyone give me any tips on how to remove stickers from my rear window? It's completely moulded onto the glass! I keep trying to peel it off but it's coming off in tiny little shreds and i'm getting nowhere! Can anyone help? Thanks. Craig.

I think a 1.8 would be adequate enough. I've just done a search on Auto Trader and you can get a 1.8 TDCi Style, 20,000 miles, Blue for £8,250. If you want me to e-mail it you just PM me with ur addy. It's a very nice example of what you can get for under £10k!

The Zetec Climate would be my reccommendation too. Whilst it does have the sports suspension...you can actually select the steering configuration out of Sports, Comfort and i think the other option is Luxury but i can't remember. Although maybe opt for a mk 2.5 Style? It's a cheaper model and they come with manual air con as standard, they have the standard suspension and i'm sure you can pick up a nice used one for around the £10k mark! They have the same interior as the mk 2.5 Zetec and above models so you won't lose out on interior quality either! Let us know how you get on!

Yeah mate i keep going down there to see if it's arrived. It's not there yet. I've not been today but the salesman told me that due to space restrictions they pretty much don't get the car in until the day before the handover. He said that the road test and PDI etc is done before it leaves the holding area....wherever that is!

Hey guys, Thought i'd create this post now so i could just get the pics straight on. All being well...i should be getting my mk 2.5 1.6 Titanium in Panther Black this Friday! :lol: I'm like a kid on Christmas eve already! Haha! Will get pics up when i get it!

Damn! I didnt know any of that and i recently bought some Osram Nightbreakers from them and paid nearly £20 for the bulbs and delivery! lol!
