  1. Just seen this on the build your own site at ford.co.uk - seems to have lots of kit - anyone know anyting about it? C
  2. and to think us 2.0 TDCi owners paid an extra two grand an got len mpg of around 36 - not good enough Mr Ford! Your brouchures say at least 50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Simplly lying * * * * :) On the type pressure front - I checked and they were OK - but some little scallywag had it away with a couple of my dust caps!
  3. Hi - seems a little odd doesn't it. I think that the ISOFIX are only on the 2004.5 model year cars, mine is a2004 and there are not there! Gutted really but mind you then I am not as I would then have bought another car seat and what wold Ihave down witht he two we already have? Cheers Craig
  4. I would check the cost of that car on www.drivethedeal.co.uk which will tell you the BEST price going for that car new. The 2.0 TDCI is one hell of a unit, I have it ina Ghia and it pulls like 146 thoroughbreds! I would check that there is no wind noise from the drivers side and that the wipers are ok and that there are no squeeks on recverse brekes (all menitioned here by others as problems) laos check that bloody fuel warning light! Its a world wide prob with this car and there is still no software fix ca you beleive! I would have thought there was about a grand movement in the price
  5. Chris - I have sent you an email as I do not think the poor helpful lass needs bombarding. But Iwold offer this advice tot eh Group - go tot he top - I complained to Paul Thomas and things were moving soon after! Best CJD
  6. Evening all My two bobs - I DO really love teh car, I love teh space, the ride, everything. We had a 3 dr Focus ESP before which was great but with a 28 month old and anohter due in weeks it was not big enought - the CMax is. The boot is great, teh seats are great adn teh Sat Nav has saved us from one hell of a traffic jam on our way to legoland! We love the parking sensors and now would never be without. Ours is the 2.0 TDCI Ghia nd I must say I am not to chuffed witht eh fuel econ, I know my wife boots it but even though we regually do moptorway miles and only get 400 a tank. At t
  7. quick tip m8 - ensure that part ex is fixed - my dealer tried to diddle me on hte part ex saying it was for delievery in one month and as the delivery was later the price was less! I told them to len off and flogged it privately but you haev been warned. C
  8. you have me interested - whats the turning thing???
  9. Many thanks for this. I would love to see tha magazine if you could get it for me. The pre-equiptmetn pack was a pain also, aparently Ford told our dealer that they supplied more bits in it then they did, so Fords had to cough up (they say) about 300 quids wirth of electrics. So its been a complete nightmare. I must admit though I thought the mic was part of the pre equip pack and was the thing above the read view mirror. Its sounds like a * * * * of a job - they have takent eh car to bits but I am glad I am not amd and they are! Thanks again and if you can get that mag there is a vi
  10. Hi All Thanks to VitroCmax I have managed to get a pic up here for you - take a look at this and let me know what you think - the bracket should be ontop of the gray new piece of dash not to the side surely?
  11. cheers Vitros - top man - that is it and my dealer said it was the mike! Could you email me and I wills end you a pic of my car phone install for you to show? Thanks C
  12. Can you all look at your rear view mirrors - does anyone have in the rook lining a circle hole with a lined grid across it? I thought this was a mic for the car phone but they have installed a spe one so I am not sure what it is. If only I had a picture! Thanks Craig
  13. Hi Vitro Thansk for that - now your picture is spot on. If you look at the photo on the top left of that page (the nokia thats what I should have. But what theyhave done is put it where that siemans one is and then attachted the cradle to the side and not on top! Ford have been looking after me pretty well after I wrote to the MD and they are on teh case., Someone shold be calling me today - but I expect theyhave to order new bits of dash etc so it will be a while. The works well in the car, its a little distoirted but OK
  14. OK - I wish I had some pics but you will have to imagine this. All sit in your passengers seat, look at the raised gear box, the Ford pre-equiptment pack was ordered witht he car and after a while the other bits were fited today - guess what - theyhave put the cradle TO THE SIDE of the gearbox dash part and so it is wedged into the passengers leg. If you look at the pictures in teh brouchure (and our phone is even a Nokia 6100 as in teh pic) the cradle sits ABOVE the gear box dash and not to the side - so they have cocked up. So what is going to happen now - who knows but this has really
  15. I am so glad you are saying this as ours is the same engine and only giving us 34 mpg - now I thought it was the a/c and my Mrs lead boot but maybe not? IDeas?
  16. I am not tight but 10% is quite a lot in my book - windwos open from now on :)
  17. Hi Rob Welcome m8. You seem to have the same jam as me, but we got the parking sensors ande I would not be without em. But as you have downsized you are probably OK with the corners and all. The Denso SatNav is a great unit - but the problem you mention is a niggle. The manual does not also tell you how to change the clock time either but you can work that out wit a few pushes here and there. On our C-Max the clock is always on int he mutifunction display so its not a great problem. Also if you change the AC settings for either side when the screen is off it does turn on again to sho
  18. a-Ha - then your muist have a part number ending AB. Did it come with the car?
  19. All How much does the AC affect the fuel economy? We are only getting 34.3 mpg or so the computer says and that’s our 2.0 TDCi with the 6 speed box. Nothing near the quoted figures. We have done 1600 miles but always have the AC on, can’t affect it that much can it? I know the Mrs :lilangel: has a lead boot but even when I am with her the MPG does not improve. Cheers Craig
  20. Eveing all So we know about the fuel light problem but does anyone have a dodgy gauge? We fill ours with fuel and then it registers as full and computer says 500 odd miles to empty and then after like 10 mins its drops to quarter and 150 miles to empty? best Craig
  21. Chris You should not have to put up with this * * * * mate - how many things do you own that cost 15-20 grand? If your video or TV was knacjkered you'd sort it right? I know its a paina dn I too do not like tthe hassle, but I really think you should drop Paul Thomas a line - he will get it resolved adn give th dealer a kicking too mate. Take care C
  22. Well welcome and glad yo uhave picked the c-max - a smashing car. We have had ours now for a little over a month and I do love it. Justr today I managed to get five ikea 201cm wardrobes flat packed in it with room for me the wife and nipper too. The niggles are annoying, like the fuel warning light and gauge problem that Ford do not yet have a fix for althought the softrware patch is being tested, adn the DVD Sat Bav having an old version of the map and the wind moise poor old Chris has but these are small things really. Hope the tinting goes well, we nearly went for the privacy glass bu
  23. LOL - you know that is quite true - well my dealer who is a good guy wanted to sell me the safeguard paint system for 200 quid - specail wax applied and all that - I said that I could have the car valetted for 60 quid a year! So I binned the idea!
  24. A-ha - the fuel warning light problem in yet another cmax - I can reveal some more! But first on teh ESP front - it does show up as off on startup - well the warning light comes on - if you hold the ESP switch for a few seconds it shold actually turn off and the word OFF appears above the ESP button. The warning light is a problem which Ford do not have a fix for! Yes its true - I sent a letter to the MD of FOrd as they were givine both me and my dealer * * * * about the parts required for the car phone kit, anyway he has now got ont he case and admitted that there is not a cure for the
  25. there are a few more - the fan blower has five speeds as opposed to four and the cool box arm rest is now standard. Mind you I have not ehard of a 2004.25 model year before. I would have thought it was a 2004 build pre march. Craig
