loads of dealers offer price matches so get the one you have seen to write ti all downa dn then go find another! If you can though sell it privately, Would be interested in knowing more about thaose lamps at the front - how much better are they than normal? I thinkt he cmax's lights are great. Also phone kit - still waiting for mine to be fitted and I have had the car a month and it was ordered like three months ago! C

HAs anyone opted for teh Ford telephone pre equiptment pack? We did although I am still waiting for the cradle. Reason I ask is for photos - I have no idea wherre the mic is or should be and if our arial is differnet from teh standard. Thanks Craig

i do love the power of our cmax we too have a ghia with sat nav, leather and aprking sensors - its a great car, roomy, comfy and loads of pull. Need a step ladder to clean the roof though :)

you know mine came on the other day - we filled up with derv a few dyas before, had done about 30 miles - just left McDonalds (they haev stopped doing chicken selects!!!) started her up and bang - on came the warning light for the full for about 3 mins. Has not happened since, but we have had a few - check security status when turning ont eh engine and the sat nav fires up. Weird. C

you got those machine alloys on the black ghia there m8? look nice and easier to get your hands in to clkean I bet then the standard ghia 7 spokers. Niuce one. Anyone had the Ford car phone pre eqippt pack fitted, like to see pics of teh arial and bracket if yu have. C

Be interested to know what others are geting for MPG on their cmax's? Ours is a 2.0 TDCi six speed and we are getting 36.1 after about 800 miles. Mind you wife does have a lead boot! :P Craig

chris i am certain that the sound for the front and rear parking sensors comes through the speaker. I will check though. Vitro I was surprised to hear your V5 says your sis green. My dealer was adament that machine silver, moondust, vitro and tonic were all classed at silver by the dvla. It would be nice if one day dealers actaully all talked the same lanhuage eh? You get on their case though on that beeper! C

Hi mpgrant - welcome m8 I have not heard anyone else mention the warning light, it would seem odd that its a Ford fault in design - could be an excuse for the dealer being a sap and not being able to mend it? Woudl be good to see some pics of the privacy glass in the pic thread. I did think about this for our car, but the dealer thought my little one (who is 2) nmight get a little car sick. Be good to see hjow dark they are though from teh inside out. As for MPG - our TDCi 2.0 is returning 36.1 at the moment and its done about 800 miles. Just filled it with its thrid tank Cheers

Hi Vitro I am so sorry mate about this - what a bummer. Sometimes dealers are complete toss pots they really are. I can rmemeber geting my ESP 3Dr focus a few years ago and wanting one with an alarm. There were none built so the dealer fitted one. Still charged me the full OFrd price but the quality of it was * * * *. I bet they charged you top dollar also? Chaps Do not mind if I jump in on this one? I am sorry TD that you are having problems with your CMax if it helps I can explain a little as I know a little about the workings of FMC. Normally you are right to buy the first version of a new car, like the cmax - and I can tell you why. Money. A car is designed a built liked the cmax on an all new platform which as we know will be the basis for the new Focus due about October time. The car is designed and costed like any project. you are quite right; yuou should not have to go through all this just to get it as it shold be. I would see if the dealer is going to play ball - ask for the dealer principal - if it is one of the big Ford dealers liek Dagenham motors ask for the top man. THen go to the Ford web site and check out the corporate section, from there you can get the name of the sales director - write to him at warley and I am sure he will sort it out. Chris Our selas are tight too - fromwhat I can see in teh pics looks like its the seals alright. The door tolerences look good to be fair. I would contact Ford and also teh dealer and let them now this car is not up to satisifactory quality!

Chris Sorry to hear about your troubles. I think you have some good advice here m8. However, if its coming from teh windows, have you checked the electric window memory? I remeber reading in the manual that you have to tell it where the fully closed position is. Might be that yours is stopping just short? At the dealers ask for the Delaer Principal - he is the guy who holds all the cards. Good luck!

You knoiw when you are having one of those days …. Just typed a long reply and it did not post  IF it makes you all feel better – just think of the depreciation I will suffer! Seems really daft, but where do you keep your quids for the tunnel? Our Ghia has the EPB and so the ashtray is a very deep hole so no good in there. Also, what is the shapre of the door pockets for? I cannot quite work out what you are supposed to be able to get in there - they are very tall! C

That's very decent of you m8 - cheers. I have a tonic one, but I was surprised to see on the V5 its a silver - appartently both tonic na dvitro asre classed as dilver by the DVLA. I must admit I wanted to see a nice mid blue like the loight sapphire blue of my old 2.0 ESP 3dr Focus but alas not :( C
