  1. Info for ya Lisa  According to the labour time it should take about .7 of an hour to complete the job from start to finish so it depends on how much you local dealers hourly charge is? I would strongly suggest you take a look at this before continuing. If you want your dealer to fit this then ask for TSB 10/2004 to be carried out. Hope this helps • NOTE:PAD switch installation is NOT available for vehicles equipped with front parking aid. Passenger air bag deactivation may be requested by some customers who wish to install a rear facing child seat in the front passenger sea
  2. they dont come as standarrd fellas they are an option but its easy to fit afterwards as that when it gets fitted anyway. At the moment the parts information website is down that i use so when its up and running again i will find out the labour times and parts price for you Lisa
  3. Hi Lisa, The Airbag diasble isnt a hard job to do as im pretty sure your car has all the wiring need alreadyall you need is the switch and the warning lamp. you can purchase these seperately from the parts dept at your local dealer. Im not too sure how much it costs or if it affects the Insurance its probably worth giving the insurance company a ring just to make sure tho.
  4. yeap thats right sorry just ignore me
  5. Well thats why it still doesnt work the clock is in the radio not the cluster
  6. if the unit you are swapping it with is a second hand one then theres no problem as the do need to be programmed to the vehicle and a brand spanking new one will work unprogrammed but as you said it will keep having error codes
  7. the only way to tell mate is with the IDS tool thats the computer that is used to flash the new cal in to the PCM. when the dealer checkes for a later cal it will usually tell them what the later cal is supposed to sort out i.e revs hanging up, stalling issues. ect ect. Cheers Mark
  8. Steve, Do you ever get the feeling you are repeating yourself alot
  9. its soo much work to do it matey it wouldnt be worth it to be honest. you need to connect it to the Vehicle Speed Sensor for the Nav to work and the amount of wiring you need to do is unbeleveable. a mate of mine did one in to a Mondeo and although he is a very clever chap he was near breaking point with the thing and was going to throw it all out. Nicks got the better idea get your self a Germin or tomtom
  10. yeah but if you was in a serious accident and was unable to move for any reason but your family needed to be removed and were in the same situation as yourself. If you had autolocking the fire service or and one trying to help are unable to get in your car due to the autolock being enabled wouldnt you think thats dangerous?
  11. Some dealers do charge that much matey unfortunately. If your car has self leveling headlights (HID) then I think from experence of the ST focus when it has been lowered it confuses the module so the lights poing all over the place and it needs a modified plate to be fitted but not too sure why they wanna charge for 4.5 hours ? :?
