Well I dont think you can put a Ghia up against a Zetec Focus the suspension setup would be all wrong (Ghia is for comfort and is therefore soft). A Zetec against a Zetec would be more interesting.

Ortho - I know I've had 5 Foci's prior to my C-Max (From 1.8 Zetec to ST170). All I can say is the only downside to a C-Max in comparison to a normal Focus is it's handling - its not a patch on a normal Focus. But is has MANY more advantages. In my eyes a bad choice - I'd much rather have another C-Max. But as you say - we all have differing opinions... Hope you like it ! AL

Silly silly boy.... surely if you wanted to waste money you could of found another way - think about why they passed a Focus onto you. Because of the reasons mentioned earlier - they will be superceeded in 3 months. To them it gets one off the books.

Just out of interest - does all dealers now have the disk to fix the kangaroo juice or do they have to request it.

That's coz it needs programming. Read your manual the instructions are there - not a dealer problem I'd say!

420 seems to be the average but it still has ~ 50 miles left as the lights just come on at that point.

I have the 2.0 TDCi and I agree it can go like stink... I've took mine upto about 110 and it felt like it was happy to give much more, reckon it'll easily pass Fords 124 mph mark - although you never know how accurate the clocks are.

I have got to admit that my C-Max is fine....Yes it has the kangaroo's at low rev's and intermittentantly misreports the fuel level - but it has too many other pro's that it diminishes the problems I do have (to the point that I now know there are fixes available for these but am not overly concerned about rushing to get them done.) If I was to really * * * * about it the only thing I would raise is the fuel consumption - I do a 27 mile journey each way day by day which is 85% motorway and I return 42mpg - not the 50 odd Ford state. I have the 2.0 Litre TDCi Ghia which has the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) - Now I have noticed that sometimes when I come to a halt and switch off the engine the car automatically applies the EPB - sometimes not. Is there a particular set of circumstances I should follow so this applies at all times? Thanks in advance.

Be careful justice - they might just employ you for coming out with comments like that!

Surely you could get a better car as a replacement than a Ka - ask them why do they think you bought a C-Max??? And then ask why they then think you would be happy driving around in a shoe box in comparison - They should at least provide a Focus.

Take your pick - I've had a Zetec S Mondeo (Nice), an ST170 (dodgy), the 2.0 TDCi C-Max (Not too bad - only gripe being the kangaroo jump at 1500-2000rpm) so I'd say I'm used to being sold crap cars! Thank god I get em at priviledge price as I would be really * * * *ed if I paid full price for em.

Totally different engine - this is a new 2.2 one so should be really nice - will let you know what theyre like when I get one in December! :P

How much will that cost you to change? esp if they charge 11p/mile > 1000 miles.

3,000 mile round trip only getting 1mpg more than the urban figure and he is impressed by that!!!!! I did a 100 mile journey and at the beginning reset all the clocks - I got it to......wait for it.....46MPG. Surely this should have been >50 maybe closer to 60 since it was 90% motorway.

Are you sure the windows don't need re-programming? I've had to do this once or twice then it worked fine.
