Thanks - The website shows grey boxes when specifying ST3 but doesn't out a tick in them (just re-tried it). Ie, Xenon lights box goes grey but without a tick, although this is definitly included within the options. Are you speaking from experience of seeing an ST3?

I have ordered an ST3 and looking at the spec (on www.Ford.Co.uk) it doesn't show the `Visibility Pack' as an option(grey shading, which means it's included?), so I am presuming that the ST3 comes with this already. Unless anyone knows differently? OptiX2K - You say about the lower level models have some features that the ST doesn't. Can you elaborate please? Thanks - Mike

Thanks tomtom70, you certainly know your stuff. When you say 7 digits, what exactly do you mean please? Also how are the postcodes accessed. Do you know where I could look for an example? :wink:

Can I confirm (?) that the Sat Nav unit accepts postcodes to search for your destination. I was under the impression it did the search from the street name. Can anyone confirm for me? :?

Agree with `Funk'. I tend not to bother reading threads that are too abbreviated. Stesmith's (sorry, but just my opinion) are laughable at times, loosing the point he's trying to make.

I have always given it a few seconds after coming to rest before switching off. Switching off straight away won't do any instant damage or additional wear but giving it the extra time is a sensible precaution. It's a bit like sleeping with a new bird. Wear a rubber, don't wear a rubber. I always used to like to be on the safe side. :wink:

Good write up. Having also owned an RS I agree with many of your points but the most obvious one for me is that they are two different cars. It is down to personal preference at the end of the day. I require a quick, comfortable, reliable, but fun car and if the RS had more toys on it then I'd of remained with that. However that's not what they were made for. Pure seat of your pants fun I agree! The ST at present new is comparable with a good 2nd hand RS and that is the dilema people are coming across. It's not an easy decison to make but for me the new ST just felt right, that's why I've gone

I had an RS and choose the new ST for it's overall power, torque, toys, warranty, new car feel, noise (great) and handling. The RS is a great car but for me the ST ticked more boxes.

Where about are you in Dorset? I'm in Yeovil and should be getting mine soon too, also in Blue. Not seen any on the road yet, apart from me driving. You must be well chuffed. Make sure you post those pics soon :wink: Enjoy

So do you know if you get the lcd screen between the dials as you would in any other Focus? Can't see why the ST won't have it. :roll:

The only differences with the ST are (to my knowledge): 1) no autochanger available with Recaro seats (cause it doesn't) 2) no turn-by-turn icons in the cluster - as there is no version with the big display for the ST I have ordered an ST3 with Sat Nav and am expecting the additional display in the dash above the trip metre display. Your point 2 aboveis based on what knowledge please? My Granddad's Titanium had the `turn by turn' display in the cluster and the ST has the space for it. If this isn't on the St why is this. The only difference I am aware of is the auto changer under the recar
