  1. Ive owned a couple of mk1's but also driven a few mk2's now. The mk2 is definitely more refined and the interior build quality is a vast improvement. However, I like the actual dash design much better in the mk1, it feels more open. Driving wise I feel a little bit more removed from the action in the mk2, steering doesnt have as much feel, driving position is no-where near as good as in the mk1 for me, just cant get as comfortable, and the seats seem smaller.
  2. Pictures of the mk1 rear light here
  3. Just curious, is the light in the back of the new Focus Ghia any different than the one in the original shape focus?
  4. is the 2.0 engine in the new focus different from the one in the mk1/1.5 focus?
  5. those wheels remind me of those wagon wheel crisps i used to eat when i was a kid.
  6. I think the opposite. The new front to me looks at least as nice as the mk1 focus, apart from the lights maybe, the rear just looks awful to me, black does help a little though.
  7. I had a test drive at jennings washington about 2 months ago but there computer system was only enabled a couple of weeks ago, went along and we got the points added to our nectar cards already.
  8. I had a similar experience in the same model, though I suppose its possible that it being a ghia affected the driving experience. The best thing I found compared to the current model is that the gears felt much better, just smoother in general. The driving position really didnt compare to my current car though. Im pretty short and I just couldnt get comfortable. the steering wheel felt to close to me even when pushed as far back as possible. It actually felt a little bit more like the fiesta, in which my main problem was if I sat close enough to the dash so I could actually reach the pedals, I
  9. I thought it looked awful in photo's but I dropped into the showroom yesterday while my car was being fixed and it looks much better in the flesh, from the outside anyway, a bit more boring but still quite pleasing to the eye. I wasnt that impressed with the interior, seemed a bit dull and just didnt feel as *right* as my current focus, the seats seemed a bit smaller as well compared to the leather ones I have. Going to have a test drive on monday anyway though.
