Well its here now and im in love!!!- been serviced and diamondbrited at their expense - they havent even looked at the car i PXed yet - in fact they almost forgot to ask for the keys LMAO

Just been out driving and my god it pulls like a train

At LONG last i have my new car - just driven it home and my god does it shift compared to the 1.6 petrol - not had chance for a proper run as had parents in the car who were already in a bad mood as the first they knew of the car was when i picked it up 2nite! Will get some pics tomorrow and get them posted

Oohh well just had an email from the dealer - has been cleaned, my plates put on, tomorrow its having a full service, valet and diamondbrite :D and then i can have it Obviously hasnt been serviced by Ford Direct - does say on their site they only do it if its within 2 months of a service or something like that

At least you can tell him you will roast him on the BBQ if he doesnt do you a good deal :D

Well im a girl and useless at car stuff and have changed the headlights on my focus which involved the same - lamps out, backs off, bulbs out and then the same in reverse

how does the car being heavier achieve better mpg?

If it was by a ford dealer it should be - they usually give you a check sheet of whats been done and theres a box on there i believe for the bodywork check but a ford dealer should be doing it anyway and you would have a very good case in an argument over rust if it had all been done by ford

the older shape - the TD rather than the new TDCI - got it in september as the old one was going out and the new coming in - so got a brand new one dirt cheap

The best thing is i managed to buy a car without even test driving a 2.0 TDCI so going from a 1.6 petrol to that The noise i can deal with - the ranger sounds like a monster truck most of the time - same with gears on that ive never changed gears so quickly in my life - and i suppose i now have an extra gear 2 get used to too!

Should possibly be in the TDCI forum but just a quickie - getting close to getting my car now, the only diesel ive driven is our ranger which is just a TD and a truck etc - anything specific i need 2 know about owning a diesel thats different to a petrol... other than dont put petrol in the tank of course!

when it goes in for a service they are supposed to do a body / paintwork check which they should say they have done on the service check sheet - as long as that is done ford are "supposed" to honor the anti perforation warranty - and of course if you do find rust you are expected to try and get it sorted straight away

I love aquarius my mate at the dealers where i bought the car has the car ive bought but in aquarius but its his demo for a few more months an i had my loan for the car an was startin 2 have 2 pay it back when i didnt have a car so had to find something quickly

ive just bought a black one as you know but if i could have found an aquarius one when i was looking id have had that over the black

My first car was a panther black fiesta so ive had the joys of them before - also had a panther black mk1 for a bit - either wanted black or aquarius really but as its from ford direct it took AGES to find one that didnt have the infinity blue interior so went for this one as soon as it appeared and its taken nearly 5 weeks to arrive!

Technically could have taken it today when the service manager saw me looking at it he offered to prep it there and then!.... but wont be getting it till sunday / monday Putting the black headlights on off my current car - was going to change to the aluminium gear knob but i quite like the look of the one on it - im going to colour code the fog surrounds but not sure whether to do the whole surround or just the top bit like the newer titaniums - if i can be bothered maybe the wing mirror / indicator mod too Oh and the OH doesnt like the wheels on the titanium so they may be changing too

Mine are currently making a right racket but ive had the windscreen replaced twice and it only started then - car is being traded in this week but i have already tried cleaning the glass / blades
