Hi all - i'm in need of some advice. I got my new Focus through an internet broker in March and am financing it by a PCP scheme with Bank of Scotland...........but i've had loads of probs since i got the car so need some advice. As a taster, here's just some of the problems i've encountered since i got the vehicle: 1. CD Disk Changer arrived unconnected 2. Steering column was loose resulting in the car veering to the left 3. Fuel consumption and trip computer was not correctly working 4. Electrics on the car often became faulty 5. Top-storage compartment on top of dashboard broke - needed

hi welshade - when i picked up my car over 1mth ago it had an annoying squeek but over time it's just gone. Ford looked and couldnt find the problem and now its just disappeared!!

wow James, seems like you're seriously kitting yourself out for what seems like your first real car (if in fact ure only 18). What engine r u getting - i got the 1.6 Ti-VCT in titanium 3dr but after looking today i realised i could of got the 2ltr petrol for another £20 a month (on PCP) and only £2 more (yes £2!!!!) for my insurance, so quite p****d off that i went for the 1.6. Anyway the titanium is a great spec - i got mine with parking sensors, dvd sat-nav and also the advanced bluetooth kit. I would seriously recommend the dvd sat-nav (not the other ones they have) and parking sensors -

I got mine from www.discountcarshop.com. Got 3dr 1.6 Ti-VCT Titanium with DVD Sat-Nav, Bluetooth, Met Paint and Parking Sensors for just over £15k. Their prices weren't as good as other online brokers but their finance was bloomin cheap, and the way they handle thier customers is superb!! Also I wanted to get a brand new one as opposed to pre-reg, just for the peace of mind! Thoroughly recommend them - speak to Janice or Andrew

Hi Russell I agree - i'm lucky to even get 25mpg - i got the 1.6 Ti-VCT and I have to say that I'm quite disappointed to not getting anywhere close to the published figures - i've done just over 800 miles in the 2 1/2 weeks I've had the car and must've put in over £130 of petrol (granted my last tank was premium unleaded), but still it's nothing like the published rates of 45mpg on average! Do you think the engine needs to be examined too? James The Cat, do you have any advice?

Does anyone know how to change the clock on the sat-nav and also the digital trip display on the Titanium at all? Couldnt see it anywhere in the sat-nav manual, and the dealership gave me the user-guide for the old bloody focus :roll: Thanks a lot guys

Hi Steve Great news about the car. I've had a look on my screen and it says 2004. Best thing to do is see if the M6 Toll is on there - it's on mine, but if it's not on yours then they've given u an old one!! Let me know. Also how cool is the bluetooth!! ps Did u get the TDCi or the petrol 1.6?

Hi all I've just taken delivery of the connecter cable and it's not working - ive put one end in the headphone slot on the ipod and the other in the aux jack - do u think there could be a fault on the aux slot? Is it as easy as just plugging it in - ive obviously selected Aux on the menu. Advice would be great! cheers

I took delivery of my focus on monday and it didnt come with any badges but the Focus one came in the glovebox - im gonna speak with teh dealership today about my titanium badge

its really easy to set up, in fact your ford dealer will set it up for you. Alas though there is no manual. I've been told that Ford haven't yet produced a manual for the bluetooth kit which I think is terrible!! Anyway, I dont know if its different if you dont have the dvd-sat-nav but with mine I can voice control the radio, the climate control, my navigation and also my phone (duh!!). I've still gotta figure out how to get my phonebook on the screen, but u can just press a button and say "Phone"===>"Dial"===>"0123456789"===>"Dial"........it will then dial the nmber for u - how coo

I took delivery of my new focus titanium yesterday and the bluetooth kit is amazing. I have it with the dvd-sat nav but im sure its still brill with the normal Sony system. The fact that everything is voice controlled with it is something i can never be without again - superb!

Im getting the DVD Sat Nav with it and as far as i understand it has an AUX-in jack in the glovebox, but do u know what i would need to connect my iPod up to it? ive ordered the Advanced Bluetooth Kit with handsfree - is that not compatible with nokias?

Ive ordered the bluetooth kit too but if it doesnt work i would go to your nearest ford dealer and ask them to help. When i get my car in 2 weeks ill scan the manual if it comes with one for you

Quick question - if the sat nav unit has got an AUX Jack for mp3 players, would i be able to buy a portable DAB radio and fit that into the aux slot too, therefore enbaling my car to have DAB features?
