  1. only messing with you. i dont really follow football. i live closer to burnley than blackburn though, so i suppose if i had to choose.
  2. ok cheers for the advice. will get pics up to compare what they are like in moondust silver. just waiting for paint to arrive. :P ps. its nice of you to help out a burnley fan .
  3. what stuff do you use for sideskirts. can i get it from halfords, a plastic to plastic adhesive maybe?
  4. they are smooth to start with really. i just gave them a light sand with 600 wet & dry paper from halfords. the fog eyebrows have abit of texture to them but i still only gave them a light sand. once i had applied the primer paint and top coat they turned out smooth. :) sorry to hear about tezza. craigc_zetec, you have to take the eyebrow off first then the surround. i got mine off by sliding the back end of a spoon under a corner of the eyebrow. once one corner is unclipped just pull and it will come off. i got the primer from halfords (grey plastic primer). i got the paint and top c
  5. just bought a set off ebay after seeing yours. £25. just got to prime and spray now. hope they turn out as good as yours foxyfocus. did you just stick yours on with adhesive pads?
  6. oh, i did that on my fiesta. if i remember rightly you hold reset button as you get in the car and keep it held in as you start it up. on my fiesta the dials did a full sweep then the hidden menu is accessed. it goes back to normal once you turn the ignition off. havent tried it on the focus. if you try googleing it you might find more info.
  7. £172 is a good price, does it come with the extra bits to extend the washer jet pipe. im torn at the minute cos im contemplating a hid conversion too. does anyone know if a hid conversion will affect my warranty?
  8. that sounds right, mines a 57 plate and i have the red dash and round stereo. the instant fuel readout isnt something i would miss, i never have it on.
  9. looks ace! where did you get the headlight brows/masks from they give it an aggressive look. i have seen some on ebay that clip under the bonnet and stick to the light with an adhesive pad. is that what you have?
  10. if you scroll through your computer menu one of them says instant fuel, just leave it on that page. (measured in g/h) is that what you meant? you can also drive with the doors locked. just push the flap above the drivers door handle in towards the door.
  11. im hoping it will improve, i read on here somewhere that it can take around 6000 miles for the car to loosen up properly then i should see an improvement. i dont really want to spray the spoiler myself, the fogs are pretty straight forward but i rekon the spoiler would be tricky. i could get a primed one off fordpartsuk or allen ford for around 120 but then a ford garage would probably charge a fortune to spray it. hopefully a ready sprayed one will pop up on ebay, not bothered whether its a standard one, st or aftermarket. donovan2123 was selling one on here a few weeks back but it slid over
  12. i know it sounds pretty lazy but i only get half an hour for dinner and to get home is all uphill, i would never make it. it takes me the full half hour to make and eat dinner. i might try resetting the readout back to zero. did it on my fiesta tdci and it did improve slightly. im pretty happy with how the car is looking now, just keeping my eye out for a colour coded spoiler to finish it off. (any help would be much appreciated)
  13. you are probably right, my work is less than a mile away, and i make a couple of trips per day, (dogs need feeding and letting out). but that mpg reading was after a trip to scarborough and back. about 200 miles. usually its less than that, around 23 mpg. driving style probably doesnt help, its hard not to rev it after having a fiesta diesel.
  14. managed to get the rest of my fogs colour coded, did just the eyebrows to start with but i rekon this looks alot better. the eyebrows were abit of a pain to get back in this time, got there eventually. primed ready to paint! fitted! full view! oh, just thought i would throw this in for you to have a good laugh at!!! (1.8 petrol, currently 3000 miles) im hoping this will get better before it drinks all my savings!
  15. im 22, i have an mk2 1.8 zetec climate. just renewed my insurance, £800 with tesco. (inc breakdown cover)
  16. im not sure, im hoping that wont happen. but if it did i would probably sand it down to the plastic and start over again. it wouldnt be too costly and at least you could do a proper job and get it right. all you would need is: sandpaper (halfords about £2) 2 cans of halfords grey plastic primer (£12) 2 cans of ford paint + top coat (£25 - £30) i get the paint over the internet, fordpartsuk and allen ford are both good. all you have to do is just give them your registration number and they send you the right colour paint. :D
  17. is moondust silver. it wasnt too bad to paint, the hardest bit was getting it into a good position to paint. in the end i ended up with it balanced along the top of a paint can. worked out okay.
  18. cheers, i got it off by getting a small flat screwdriver under the corner and popping it out of the clips. then i just kept pulling and worked my way along. its only clipped in and the plastic has quite abit of bend in it.
  19. just finished fitting my bumper insert after painting it. matches the fog eyebrows i did a few weeks back. what do you guys think? :) http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/adampick/Photo-0158.jpg[/img]]photobucket
  20. as far as i know they are pretty easy. they just pull off. the surround is in two parts, if you pull the fog eyebrow off first you can clearly see the fog surround is just clipped on. i got mine off using the back end of a spoon with abit of material around it. just to make sure i didnt scratch owt.
  21. i bought mine used and only got the standard key. will keep that in mind though if i buy new next time. i did expect to get a flip key originally though cos my car would have cost around £15 grand new. so i was abit disapointed when they handed me the standard key. i got abit sick of the blade poking me in the leg when it was in my pocket. why make it so long.
  22. finally got my new flip key sorted today!! http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/adampick/Photo-0154.jpg[/img]]photobucket new key and uncut blade : £56 key laser cut : £6 key coding at ford : £94 flipping open my new flipper key : PRICELESS!! http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/adampick/Photo-0153.jpg[/img]]photobucket
  23. im thinking of painting my brake calipers next weekend. didnt know whether to go for a red or a green. cos i think the gren calipers on the fabia vrs look pretty smart. dont know what it would look like on mine though, my car is in moondust silver. has anyone else tried this, what do you guys think?
  24. cant help you there mate, but when i went to my local ford garage to get a key cut they sent me to a car accessories shop that they use for cutting keys. they have to be laser cut apparently. surprised your ford garage didnt do the same if the dont have the propper cutting equipment there.
  25. ok cheers. dont mind paying it cos i want it doing, it just came as abit of a shock. wish i was on £94 an hour.
