  1. well it sounds like you have the cruise control wiring:) should definitely be a brake pedal switch lol becausr that operates your rear lights. small bar is on the clutch master cylinder.
  2. yea lol, its the airbags that are the difficult part, because i think alot of those steering wheels come out of crash damaged focus. yea, might be worth dropping pichhacker a line, see if he can help:)
  3. yea, finding a dealer to do it is the hardest part..where abouts do you live? if your anywhere near Essex, contact Pichacker, he maybe able to help you out, because he has Access to ford IDS.. because I think he actually works on the system.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/05-ON-FOCUS-LEATH ... 1c1056a11f thats a 4 spoke focus steering wheel with buttons, just needs the airbag
  5. http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... c&t=220997 those are the dealer instructions on enabling it. clutch switch should sit at the top of the clutch pedal, should be noticeable like the brake switch. then you need to make sure you have the wires up by the steering wheel for the switches. Now regarding your version, B definitely doesnt work, but looking at this thread http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... se+control Pichacker says "I believe the part number on the box needs to end in a Dx where x is any letter. Possibly a Cx box will work but i'm not 100% sure on
  6. yep need another 4 spoke steering wheel. dont need a servo, need the clutch switch though so check you have that fitted. All ghias had cruise control, titaniums were cruise enabled but it was an option.. at present though its standard
  7. id get that sorted.. a bad thermostat is not good for the engine, becasuse it will struggle to warm up properly and take alot longer. Also known to lead onto head gasket failures.
  8. nope, they are the same:) do you have the part number off the old PJB? if you could post it, i maybe able to find out for you,. Part number being that bit which ends in CB
  9. not all of Audi's engines are the same lol, alot are though, but even then theres some differences. V10 Audi R8 engine is a lambo engine lol.
  10. not long then:S hopefully you can get it sorted for a reasonable price. must be disheartening, mines only about 19 months old now.. but its still disheartening when people scratch it.... just wanna keep it looking nice as long as possible.
  11. lol, how long have you had it? Perforation warranty lol, say the paint flaked off.
  12. dunno if the home insurance would cover it... may have to go through the car insurance.
  13. lol sounds it, I reckon for £250-£300 you could get that panel resprayed.
  14. I always advise to take a car to a place that just does MOT, not a garage that also repairs them. Reason being, despite im sure the vast majority of garages being legitimate.. some will purposely look for every single problem they can find to fail the car.. purely under the hopes that you will leave the car with them for repair... as normally they will retest for free if left with them, but charge if you take it away.
  15. true, but to me actual driving experience is more important, the focus handles better I found. only other brand I may of considered apart from Ford I think may of been Audi. Audi have some great engines. only problem with them is the cost.. priced up a top spec A4 the other week, the options list cost more than the car was worth lol.. car started out at around £25k.. and ended up at 55k nearly:S
  16. lol, only the engine.. alot of it isnt much different to normal focus. true, plus its less complicated so its less to go wrong being a simpler system. EHPAS has an electric pump, and its own control module. new electric system looses the hydraulics altogether. I didnt like the golf when i test drove it, quality is "supposed" to be better than a focus, but I couldnt actually find much better than the focus in terms of raw specs.
  17. you forgot the 2.5 ST engine lol. thats also EHPAS on the new focus its all electric. true, is better lol.. although you cant change the steering settings... and loose a bit of MPG
  18. might have to enquire as well.. take it u just ring the number on their site? might find out if they can sort out small rust sports as well.. bit starting to come through in a crevice on the boot... not on full view or anything its 1 of those corners lol.
  19. Part Numbers below are for, Supply and Return Hoses - Power Steering (Zetec-S (Duratec 16V (From 15/09/2003 To 15/01/2008) Think thats correct, other 1s listed are for Diesel engines, Duratec HE, 2.0 Duratec-HE Bi-Fuel (145ps) MI4 and the 2.5 Duratec-ST.. so it shouldnt be those.. I assume you have a mechanically operated engine driven pump? rather than the Electric Hydraulic Power Assisted System? with manual 5 speed gearbox IB5/B5 This is the pipe that goes from the pump, to the steering rack, high pressure. HOSE - POWER STEERING PRESSURE FINIS: 1469171 Part Number: 4M51 3A719-
  20. just browsing their site lol, through the images alone the repairs look invisible, never know they was ever there.
  21. probably needs a new pipe. If you need a part number just let me know if its petrol/diesel and which sized engine.. I imagine its pre-facelift?
  22. yep lol. if you could let us know what they quote that would be great, do they have a website?
  23. yep, definitely! and fords prices are outrageous, lol dunno if you saw my previous thread about how 1 single seat back cover.. is £700+Vat for a bit of fabric. would be interested to also know though what prices ChipsAway charge if it can be repaired.
  24. down to primer lol. really fed up with it, and as considerate as it is, ive resulted to parking half accross 2 places .. probably start a riot now with that comment about how inconsiderate that is. but the car isnt that old, when i got it, dealer had ruined the paintwork.. spent a few hundred getting it professionally detailed and sorted out paint came back looking like brand new.. was well pleased. but it seems every time I park up theres some new scratch. washed the car 1 week, and found many small scratches around the rear corner in same area, and 1 on the bottom of the passenger do
