Guys, get over it!!! All new cars depreciate....these figures are no surprise....take the 17.5% money that blair needs to pay for his war (sorry pensioners, we have no money) and the joy of being the FIRST to own it, and it will go down. I "lost" £3.5k on my TDCI ghia focus after 16 months, that was even with my 3k discount off the original price on the employee discount!!!!

Yeah, I agree. But by driving a 1974 VW camper van 33000 km around Australia taught me that there are far more bad owners than bad cars!!! If you turn your engine over and loads of oil has leaked it might be too late for a light to warn you, or smell or noise!!!!

FOCUS C-MAX - Electronic Parking Brake - Safety Recall
TDCIGHIA replied to Ian C's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Call me think, but did you say it ONLY applies to vehicles in NORWAY.....etc.... You are in Reading? Why are you worried? -
I would be checking oil, EVERYTIME i go to start the car!!! JUst in case. Remember these things have trays underneath so you would not necessarily see a leak if there was one.

That gear stick surround is like those found in the new v50 volvo, it is called the space ball. Think it is a volvo option

It is a pain. It is fine once up to speed, the windows clear anyway, but looing left to pull out of my road in the morning means I have to wind down the window!!
-
That when your windows are covered in dew in the mornings you cannot just wind windows down and up to clear them. There is no rubber seal to wipe the outside of the window as it comes down on ALL other cars I have owned? I hope you get what I mean here!!!

When surfing for a week in Cornwall: Board on roof, Moutain bike on rack inside, Wetsuits, clothes for week Food and supplies (s/c cottage) Wine and beers (boxes of) Loads of other garbage the girlfriend decided to bring. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

I suppose I agree, THE dealers really do SUCK!! I have just received my feedback form. Looking forward to filling it in.

Focus C-Max 2.0 TDCi Tuning Question?
TDCIGHIA replied to charlie.'s topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
A PUG / ford collaboration I think! -
Doing it again Ortho!!!

Pleased your happy dude, Just got back from a week in Cornwall in my C-max ultima. Finally git the 1500 mile mark. My MPG computer was reading 46MPG on the M4/M25 (constant 70mph) I am happy with that considering the roof rack and surfboards on the roof adding drag.

Overhead console with child observation mirror
TDCIGHIA replied to c-max_Daz's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
I have the observation mirror, I find it really difficult to focus in it after staring out the front window. I'm sure its useful if you have little uns -
a week in cornwall, C-MAX made the holiday!! I loved it, easy to load, looks great covered in mud (stayed on a farm). Most of my photos include the car!!!!! I will post some soon
-
Off on holiday tomorrow early doors. Just packed the car, amazing...c-max is supposed to be bigger, HOW COME "SHE" STILL MANAGES TO FILL IT UP WITH HALF THE WARDROBE!!!????!!!
-
Handles better if you like 1.8 slow I suppose!!!! :D I'll have the tea on when you arrive at the races!!!!!
-
I love having the last word!!!!!
-
I agree it is higher, I am merely saying that 8cm does not add an extra tonne!!! The initial "discussion" was comparing the c-max handling with foucs handling. NOT ST/ZETEC with C-max. I am still sitting on my initial judgement. MY C-MAX Ultima handles better than my focus Tdci GHIA that I had for 16 months and did 40 k miles in.

Clock thing is TSB 41/2004

Eight Cm (?) is actually just a liitle extra weight, does not raise the centre of gravity THAT much. Also, lets not forget the variable power steering thing-a-me. I Kind of think I am in a really good position to have my opinion. Quality cars both of them. C-max edges it for me in all categories....ALL
-
"categorically" ???? On what grounds? Your opinion only.
-
Tough one I spose, difficult to call. I genuinly feel that the c-max is better then my old focus. I do the same lanes in to work every day. And it really seems to be able to be pushed harder AND faster through the corners. I live near to Dunton R & D centre and have buddies that work there. I will ask them for opinions!! Both are cool cars! Dont intend to keep c-max for ever either. Might go for a MKII in less than a year!!!
