  1. How often do Ford release new models - ie:when can we expect a new model C-max? Would it be safe to guess every 3 or 5 years?
  2. Does anyone know, if there any relevent updates for the petrol engine and if so, what are they for and what the latest ROM numbers are. I checked mine last night, and im sure it read 040D.
  3. Does anybody know if there will be a new TIS disk released soon?
  4. Plus the amount of space inside is amazing. I took out the back seats, and got in a HUGE dining table, 5 dining chairs, a pc, 3 LARGE boxes, 3 full bin bags and still had oodles of space left!!! Ikea holds no fears for me. Several boot loads over xmas, my old Vectra wouldnt have coped with it all. I love it and would DEFINATELY buy one again!
  5. I had a similar thing, where the boot release wouldnt work at all. Fortunately the key fob release did. It turned out to be the 'actuator' had gone and had to be replaced with a new one (which had to be put on order). I guess that if yours has stopped working and then started again.....it may be on its way out.
  6. The hesitation CAN be a concern, and i dont think im alone in experiencing the rush of adrenaline when you set of on the roundabout and there is a long pause. It can get hairy. But at the same time, i can have days / weeks without it. I really DO love the car though. Its a fantastic drive, spacious, fun to drive, and yes, i will volunteer to go somewhere on an errand just so i can drive the car. Would I have another one? Yes, i would. But next time would get a 2.0tdci ghia instead of the 1.8 petrol Zetec. As for a good dealer - Atlantic Ford in Stockport. Would definately go ther
  7. Chargerate, I have a 1.8 petrol, My figures are approx 29.5 / 30 around town and about 43 on the motorway, with an average (from both the computer AND the spreadsheet method) being 32.5mpg. I have had a few experiences of the hesitation. Is this the one where it feels like there is no power, you put your foot down and away it doesnt go?? I have had the latest update, which did clear the problem, but i have found that it has returned again every now and again. USUALLY of an evening on my way home from work (never in the morning). Tonight, i think i may have figured it out. On my way to w
  8. Just out of curiosity, i noticed that the Ghia spec has a -quote 'Overhead console with child observation mirror'. Could someone explain what this is to a Zetec owner, and possibly post a pic? Is it as ground breaking and astounding as the Footwell lighting?
  9. TDCIGHIA - It does look mint m8. Could you post some pics of the seats? I understand that they are a bit different in the Ultima?
  10. Is the new update for diesel engines only? Mine is a 1.8 petrol. Booking it in soon to have the boot release button fixed and will ask for upgrade if it applies to petrol engines too.
  11. I gave a lift to the daughter of our childminder this morning and when she got out of the car, she REALLY slammed the door shut. I drove off and noticed a really bad rattle from the left side of the dash, that seemed to be coming from the beige plastic that covers the internal facia of the a-frame. I leant over and pushed the facia back against the side of the car and the rattle stopped. Try it, you never know!!
  12. Last night, i took the kids to the supermarket and getting home quite late, reached into my pocket and fumbled to push the lock button once we were all out of the car. However, i pressed the boot release and then pressed the lock all button on the key fob. Without realising, i went in the house, and noticed after a minute or two that the alarm had gone off on the car - lights flashing etc... Went out, pressed the unlock all button, opened the passeneger door and after checking everything was ok, shut the door and pushed the lock all button and noticed the luggage compartment move. So...
  13. Thats really bad Chris. Personally, I hate haggling for cars and spent a few nights before-hand dreading even going into the dealership. But when i went in, i wasnt nasty, or particularly firm, just told them straight that I wanted that spec, that I would be an idiot if i paid list price, didnt want their finance, and then walked away. When i went back to them, I went thru how much i owed on my Vectra and let them work out some fingures. Then told them it was out of my price range etc... until they showed me the figures. Then had to hold myself back from looking too eager. :D From what
  14. OK, im going to dip in here (without also sounding like a Ford PR guy). We bought a 2003.75 1.8 Zetec petrol C-max from Atlantic Ford in Stockport. We needed it before the end of July (to go on holiday down south). They did me an excellent deal on the Vectra that i part ex'd, adding quite a bit to its value and settling my existng finance. They then gave me a nice discount off the value of the C-max and even threw in car mats and the traveller pack (sooo handy to with all the luggage we had :D ). They got the car to me with 1 day to spare. :D I think this car is amazing. The only pr
