The one shot close thing can be sorted as per owners manual? It worked for me. I have owned six other brand new Fords, thic C-MAX is by far the most quality/best drive I have owned. I am not a family man, I am a 26 yearold who has no family but a mountain bike that benefits from the extra space!!!

Before you all start to panic, of course it is gonna be a slow selling ford, it is one of the more expensive ones, AND it is a mini MPV, a niche market I would have thought. "Dealers forecourts full of them"???? WHERE? I have not seen ANY in ALL the essex dealerships I visited, HOW many do you see on AUTOTRADER? Very few. Hate to be negative mate, but that was a bad decision. I know it is a headache but trading in IS ALWAYS gonna be a bad idea. Are you sure? I will check my manual, but my focus did not need programming?

They had i for ten days, I WOULD consider that plenty of time to find any fault!!! Could somebody please give me all names, addresses, telephone numbers of Ford People to moan to. I FOUND ANOTHER FAULT TODAY!! My rear offside passenger window does not "one-touch" open and close like the rest. Makes it a real pain using global closing!!! STILL LOVE THE CAR THOUGH! Gonna skin the PDI centre and hang them out to dry!

NEalry One week from new, stereo time and presets have been fixed. I had to wait nearly two hours while it was done mind you!!! There was another guy in the service place who picked his C-MAX up sunday too. He had the armrest jammed up like I have read here before. Just the kind of hastle you would expect from and five day old car!! I have written a "nice" letter asking for an explanation why my vehicle was released from the PDI centre with a fault. AND a known fault at that!!!

I know that new engines can be a bit "tight" and take a while to reach good consumption. I traded my 1.8 TDCI focus ghia for the c max, at 33000 miles it was just starting to get REALLY good consumption! Give it time............

Really cool, thanks. Just wanted to ask, is the Odometer reading the trip miles and mileage, the overall miles? I am gutted the tank was not full when I first picked it up!

I am not sure about the seats? I know they are quite a bucket seat, but thought that was just normal!! How excting!!! I really love this car!

I have picked my 2 litre tdci sunday. I was really perturbed by this forum, it all seemed doom and gloom.. The reality is, the problem HAS been with SOME peoples quality of customer service. The car (or at least mine) is WICKED. I absolutely love it! I have the problem where the clock does not keep time (I am having it sorted friday) Do not dispair, best decision you have made. Trust me

i`ll try. Seems weird to have a on of switch if the + button does it anyway? What about stereo? Is that an ecu update thing?>

I just dont feel like the speedo symbol button does not do anything, the little light comes on on dash only when pressing the + button.

Only had mine a day, seems fine. Takes some getting used to but no worries so far!!!

I do have the 2.0l TDCI. I have not noticed any flatspot......yet! The MPG is reading 22mpg.....but.....I have only done 50 miles so I will give it a couple of tanks to be sure! Who should I phone/write to to rant. I ASKED DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES TO CHECK NO FIXES WERE NECESSARY!!!! I LOVE THE CAR THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong, but I thought headlight washers worked on water pressure only, not electric motors?

Before I bother the dealer, maybe you guys can answer these questions. 1) My Sony single disk player clock does not hold the correct time, I know this is something discussed before but I cannot find fix? 2) I can turn on my cruise control by pushing the + button, but the on button with the little speedo symbol does not seem to do anything. Being a novice with cruise control I thought I better check it is not meant to be like that before going to Fords!!! Thanks

Got it!!!! LOVE IT!!!! BLACK WITH 17's and bodykit. Only fault is the sony single disk does not hold the time. In ORE of its quality!

Yeah, I agree, it`s a little like the autolocking trick in the focus. No mention of it anywhere with Fords. I learnt it from here!
