  4. It is interesting that whizzpopper advise drivers to apply the handbrake without pressing the release button. When I learnt to drive (quite a few years ago I admit), I was advised to press the release button when applying the handbrake, both to avoid the 'click, click, click' noise but moreso to prevent wear on the ratchet mechanism. Pete and that is exactly what watchdog said, typical whizzpopper verbal diorreaha
  5. oh s*** sounds familiar to the whizzpopper problem from watchdog! http://www.bbc.co.uk/consumer/tv_and_ra ... 0116.shtml

  9. i keep meaning to try that when i go into the city centre  would you therefore say its lighter to use when parking in comfort? :D
  10. can anyone actually 'feel' the difference between the adjustable power steering settings on the MK2? (if you have that option of course!) when i got the car the garage set it to comfort (light according to the manual) and i must say it did feel light and 'wooly' when i got home i checked the options saw sport and just set it to that and never thought anything else about it, it is supposedly in sport set to give more feedback or feels a bit heavier than the comfort setting can anyone else feel the difference or have you even bothered trying to change it :D
  11. its just daft there plus the armrest interfere's with you trying to pull it up i dont mind the armrest its a nice touch but a bit more thought could have been applied rather than trying to shoehorn in extras for the sake of it mind you cant complain if i even grab a female passengers leg rather than the handbrake ill blame ford
