  1. What's the difference between the new ones and the old, is it adifferent pin configuration or something??
  2. Here's hoping it's nothing serious anyway, enjoy the sunshine :D
  3. Did you get any joy at the dealers??
  4. Have you had a look on black circles and mytyres, I know they have tyre tests on my tyres if you just punch in your sizes they should bring up a list of available tyres and hopfully ratings and tests.
  5. I meant paying, feckin predictive text is a nightmare!!!
  6. Tezza, definitely interested mate, how much do you want for them? Also how do we go about laying etc?
  7. that's the ones I have my eye out for, I take it I'd just need to pick up a set if lamps and pop them in and bobs your uncle???
  8. Ok cheers will search the site next time I'm in here on my computer, cheers again
  9. Can anybody tell me if the brake lights from the facelift 09 would be a direct fit onto an 07. I like the fact that they are almost completely clear and think they would look good on my silver focus. I'm looking for clear rear lights but don't like a lot of the Lexus style that are kicking around. I was hoping 09's would fit and I could pick up a pattern pair but so far I can't find anybody making them
  10. For 7500 you should be able to pick up a 2.0 Zetec 07. Mine was 7700 for an 07 5 door with the climate pack plus 17" alloys and a couple of other bits and bobs that were on it. The titanium is packed with goodies but you will either have to drive a hard bargain or take an older car for your cash. I've had my Zetec for a month now and I'm happy with it, I'm averaging around 27mpg at the mo as it could do with a sixth gear for cruising at motorway speeds!
  11. It's a common problem, I'm driving a hire car to Aberdeen and back and I've just filled it with 37 litres of fuel after 200 miles, same again 80mph and it's doing around 4000 rpm
  12. I'm pretty happy with the Sony system in mine, I don't have the cd changer just use my iPod through the aux line in the glovebox. I have the base turned down on mine as I find it a bit too heavy on ma lugs although if I do turn it up it gets the windows bouncing without any distortion in sound. I love the 2.0 would love a sixth gear though, although it is responsive at the top end. Disk brakes all round is also handy when you need to stop!!
  13. 7500 is a pretty good price I paid 7700 for mine with 20k on the clock, if your still looking at it I'm averaging around 27mpg and that's with a mix of motorway and back road driving. I agree with the gearing as well it really could do with a sixth gear as I like to sit around 80 so fuel economy goes out the window!!!
  14. Let us know how u get on, it'd be interesting to hear if it is gearbox problems :? :?
  15. I think it should still be under the warranty for another few months so there shouldn't be any hassle. worth getting it checked out early and save grief, it only took them a few hours to strip and rebuild my gearbox.
  16. Cheers bud, will measure up the hole when I get home and get some ordered up, that backroad from Ayr to Killie is full of suicidal pheasants - either that or colourful lemmings
  17. Meant to say the crunch was intermittent on mine as well
  18. I would think it would only get worse, when they stripped mine I ended up with new synchromesh in third and fourth and a new gear hub. If it's a 57 plate should it not be under warranty??? Take it to a dealer and ask them to take it for a quick spin and see what they think, they shouldn't charge you for it but confirm that before they take it out.
  19. Where abouts can you get that bud, I take it you just buy a sheet and trim it to size???
  20. Hi Just bought this car and looking for something to fit behind the bottom section of the bumper as the gaps are quite large and by the looks of it a couple of things have already hit the radiator, bent fins!! Not tried fitting the general mesh stuff you can get from Halfords so just wondering if it's any good and how easy is it to fit. Just conscious of this as a Grouse went through the brother in laws radioator a couple of weeks back, doubt anything would stop one of those things anyway!!!
  21. Could be the synchromesh in the gearbox, had this on a sh11ty Punto I had a few years back, funnily enough mine went in third as well, luckily got a gearbox rebuild under warranty :P
  22. Ach well sounds sorted will keep an eye out for the glove box light on mine
  23. No bother bud good luck, you can always check that the alternator is putting out around 13v or so to keep the battery well topped up
  24. Could possibly be the cause, sounds likely athough a wee light like that shouldn't pull that much current. That said i've heard of people leaving interior lights on and flattening the battery overnight so three days might have done it good and proper. If you can get your hands on a multimeter now you've spotted the glove box light, make sure it's out and check the battery voltage, should be somewhere around the 12-13volt range. Then try checking it a few hours later and see if there's much of a difference. If you've got a bit of a drop there may still be something draining it. It's possibl
  25. Is it a diesel or a petrol, sounds as though you might not be firing on all cylinders. Might be worthwhile checking out your spark plugs or glow plugs for a first off, juddery at idle and sluggish acceleration sounds like firing issues. I take it it's less juddery once you increase the revs a bit??? The air you're getting through with the fans off may just be down to the radiator fans pushing air around under the bonnet. It's probably getting worse with the fans on as running air con etc puts more load on the engine, hence it lowers fuel economy by roughly 10%. If the car is still under wa
